Well done Sammon, it's been an upstream struggle for him but he seems to have turned it around.

He's been a great catch for Rotherham.

Anyone see Sammon's pass in the build up to Derbyshire's goal for Rotherham this afternoon?

Hoolahan would've been proud.

Don't, you'll get Dunphy started...

Returns to Derby to aid their playoff push and he's on the bench today at Huddersfield.

Loan spell at relegation threatened Rotherham ended by mutual consent. I find that odd. He looked good and scored as much goals as he could have been reasonably expected to score, with his record.

Sammon has a chance to write himself in Derby folklore. He makes a shock start against Millwall this afternoon.

Forde, Dunne, O'Brien, Keogh, Hendrick and Sammon all start. Christie is on the bench.

Fair play. There are 5 really good players playing behind him too, none are really defensive- Dawkins, Hughes and Hendrick are all attack-minded, not to mention Lingard and Ince flanking him.

He should be put next to Ice, not Ince.

Gone to Sheffield United on a season long loan.

Sammon is a useful player. He's not up to the standard of a team that aspires to finish in the top 2, but I'm surprised he couldn't get a move to a team in the bottom half.

Nice to see Conor scoring a couple. In one of the reports I read, there was the line "Despite being built like a heavyweight boxer, Conor Sammon possesses a surprisingly delicate touch". Perhaps he has found his level in Division One although I think he is better than that. He got a lot of stick because Trapp selected him ahead of some fans' favourites and was a target man for the much despised long-ball tactics. We shall see but we're not exactly awash with strikers but at 29 perhaps his day is past as well.

Scoring so freely, he must be an imposter (i.e. sammon else).

Another one today as Partick beat St Johnstone 3-1

Two former UCD forwards on display, with Dave McMillan making his debut for St Johnstone, but limping off injured 20 minutes after coming on as a sub

Sammon's sixth goal in as many games isn't enough to prevent a Scottish Cup defeat for Partick at Celtic Park.

Must be. Partick ended up losing 2-1 though and are in serious relegation trouble. That will be of little concern to Sammon as he tucks in to his pepperoni pizza later on - https://twitter.com/ThistleTweet/status/964888358311923714

That almost amounts to click bait.

Would he still get the full pizza for a penalty, all scores being equal?

Misses an injury-time penalty as Partick lose to Livingston in a relegation play-off. Wasn't decisive at least - they lost 3-1 on aggregate.

You wonder where to now for Sammo. Will he return to the LoI?
