'm new on this site, but been watchin limerick soccer for the last 15 years, used to plat in 2B, 2A And 1B.Have watched a few games this year, stroll around catchin as many as possible, Mainly 2A for the past few years as I'm from st marys parish, had abbey and athlunkard last year, corbally this year, anyway my 2pence worth fpr this season on games seen and results so far.
My top 3 are 2 new boys Caherconlish, Knocklong and a really old scholl 2A side Athlunkard V. Dont know enough about the new boys to commit fully, but Athlunkard are possible one of the nicest footballing sides outside the premier, but maybe get punished for that exact reason, they lost their way last year too and I think they lost players. but manager Ray Kerley will get them playing football and if the team is any way strong, they'll be hard to beat (not hard to score against but hard to beat) my other neigbouring club Corbally came up to quick I think and are not ready (bottom 5 i'd say), Aishling- cup final last season, could be anything really, a big chance if they improve, dont know much of St Pat and herbertstown but the results speak for them selves I think on them. Kennedy Park, castle and Killfinan are 2A old boys too but always seem to be mid table, I'll stick with that again. Shels and Holycross - NO - just NO. SO neck on the line and neighbours in mind I'll opt for Athlunkard to top the table. with Knocklong and Caherconlish to fight it out for 2nd. If I'm any good I should get 90% of the results (not Scores) right for tomorrow, so here goes: Holy0 v Kil2 Knock5 v st pat0, Ath V 3 v Kp1, AA2 v castle2, shels2 v Herb2, caher4 v corbally1.
Dont worry I'll never write this much again. MM

Old boys?KP only came up last season after 3 promotions in a row from 3b,
Kilfinane were only promoted the year before that
Atlunkard were poor last season so dont think they will be up to much,2 games i saw KP they had the bare 11 so dont think they will do much unless they get players back, think the top 2 will be Aisling and Kilfinane

Caherconlish 1-0 Corbally b
Really really tough game with the field in poor condition we fielded a couple of b players who did really well in the absense of our hurlers, Caherconlish fought tooth and nail through out the game, Corbally were very stong especially in the 2nd half but great performance from a thrown together back 4 and some great saves from our keeper kept the score at 1-0 after we caught them on the break with a nice goal. draw could have bben a far result but we shaded it just about i think..MASSIVE 3 points

Atlunkard 3 kp 0
Could of been a lot more,Atlunkard have a lot of newplayers, the two granville premier boys have made them very strong, think they will be the team to beat after this performance,
Kp struggled for an 11 should be stronger when the midweek games are over
athlunkard 3 kp 0. kp are a strong team they'll definitely take points off teams and should be up there toward the tail end. one nil with about 15 mins to go and we caught them on the counter twice and could have got one or two more but they were gun ho at this stage

howya BC i saw the game and have to say your a being very generous to caherconlish.ye were missing quite a few players ok but corbally will be wondering how they lost this one, dominated the whole game and missed some easy chances coupled with a fine display from yer keeper, corbally by far the better team but fair play ye came away with the points.

Shaded it? You must be joking. A special mention to the puddle in the goal mouth, stopped two chances from crossing the line:(
aisling 4-2 castle the amount of chances we have created in the last 3 matches is something else!we had to play out in castle over our pitch been unplayable, castle are a good team and should take points off teams out there,so we're delighted with the points,i thought the ref was very good he's new i think.tough game away to kilfinane on sat always a scrappy game out in the sticks!
Shelbourne park was flooded. no game
if it was 40 degrees shelbourne pk would still be flooded

thats the prob!!! every team in the leauge will be missing players at some point in the season. its getting those wins away in the sticks!!! on bad pitches!!!. we lost 2 players who are playing in 1a... 1 hopefully will be coming back, but time will tell.
its all about consistancy, its grand winning and playing well but conlish have already shown, missing 6 played bad (on reports i read) but still picked up 3 points. 10 - 0 is as good as 1 - 0.......... theres a few strong teams in this division and i think it will be tight. I must say kp, ashling, knock, conlish, killfinane and us so far look contenders and so far conlish are of to the best start.
round 48 pts should get a team promoted so long way to go. wouldnt rule out anybody lots on unhappy players still going to transfer yet. what about if St pats let the hurlers back playing they'll shoot up the league,

well said think your spot on there, when your playing bad and winning when you shouldn't have, rather to when your playing well and dont win!just as an example we played corbally last sat we drew 2-2 when on the day we missed aload of chances and could have won comfortable on another day,but we didnt get that bit of luck and dropped 2 pts!and then conlish missing players against corbally on tues and by all accounts they scrapped a win and gained 3 pts, there the games come end of the season that can win or lose you the league!there is a long season and im sure for alot of teams there luck will change!
jesus easy easy i actually agreed with something you said:eek: did ray massey leave ye if he did he's a big loss!
