Neither Galway or Kildare announced a friendly between each other, as far as I know.

11/02/2009, 9:11 PM
It was originally mooted that Kildare would play United following Cork's decision to cancel the friendly originally fixed but now Cork have agreed to play again so the Kildare match won't be going ahead. The Kildare game was only on standby if United could get nothing else

Because of the weather and Drogheda's lack of a team.

What Dunny said. We don't have a pitch at the moment as it's being relaid. We've had friendlies at Dungannon, Lisburn and Drogheda cancelled..

Youths 0 - 0 St Pats at Ferrycarrig Park. A good loosener of a game, though one Pats lad went off in the first half with a head wound and Ritchie Fitz looked like he pulled a hamstring.
Either side could have won it with a few close shaves. We had Packie Holden in goal from Waterford.

Daragh Ryan (ex UCD and cork) was the lad that went off after a clash of heads

Nice little game of ball between two teams trying to pass it around. Several trialists for Pats

Yep, enjoyable enough. Very badly advertised game, on our part, leading to a small enough crowd. Congrats (again) to Seanie O'Shea for getting the pitch in good condition, considering the snow & rain that has fallen on it over the past few weeks.

Extremely sh!te would be more apt.
The average age of our team must have been 18.
Im all for giving young players a chance and have advocated for it all through the past but by jaysus that was taking the p!ss. We had 12 players in the panel last night who have never played in the LOI before.
