Brian & Paidi O Sull were on bench with (knocks), Gavin Daly, Derek Delea, Jack Aherne, Gonks, Alec Nodwell all out. No excuse, team out should have won it. Costly 3 pts I reckon. We have been plagued by injuries but to be honest its our missed chances that are costing us games.

it just shows how level the premier and premier a leagues have become .with both leeside of premier and carraig of premiera both loosing at home this weekend.predicting the outcome of weekend results in the leagues is becomeing harder and harder.

Forgot to give the Greenwood keeper a mention. He made at least three top drawer saves, low down, from point blank range. Easily Man of the match.

Are you blaming the refs or your former teammates sharpshooter?
I see a few nice fixtures down for the coming weekend (weather permitting of course), Wilton should take the mossie easily enough?

That's true, they'll struggle with those suspensions too cos I heard they were down to the bare bones against Coachford, any b team players there good enough to fill the gaps?

As above Glen Celtic at home to Wiclow Rovers - The have a leinster Senior league side so I guess this is their 2nd team - they got to the last 16 last year beating Castleview & Coachford en route so some guys on here should have some info.
Knockavilla got Bansha Celtic from Tipp - Mid table on 1st division (there is a premier division) so Knockavilla should fancy their chances.
Fairview away to Athenry - a mid premier division side in Galway so a tough away trip.
Kinsale/Glasheen will travel to Limerick to face Moyross - I know nothing of the Moyross side.
Midleton/Tramore meet Crettyard United away in Carlow.
Innishvilla, presuming your coming from the Mallow side, drive to Dromcollogher via Liscarroll, drive straight through Dromcollogher keeping left with the square on your right, keep driving out of Dromcollogher, you'll see the church on your right as you leave the town, Broadford is 3 miles back that road. When you come in to Broadford, drive right through the long village, keep going till you see FOLEYS BRIDGE HOUSE BAR facing you (give a knock round the back if you wanna get in that time!) Just go over the bridge which is beside the pub and turn right into COVE PARK, you'll see the sign then. Have ye many coming? Might try have a few refreshments ready for you if you can give me a number....

Best of luck to my "old" team mate Denis Mul and his Innishvilla team from us here at Killumney Utd and good luck to all the Cork sides in action at the weekend. Hope to get to the Glen game sunday to see Johnny Corcoran and friends put the glen into the next round!

Overthehill, I'm surprised Skillington left Blackstone, good signing! Blackstone won't be too pleased to have lost him.

If thats the case then I will have to rethink my pre-season prediction of Blackstone doing well.
Surely wilton tonight, despite Castleview's good form?

As far as i know on the day in question Knockavilla played an illegal player, appeal was made, appeal was won.

Best of luck to all the Cork teams representing the AUL this week end, we ve a tricky encounter with Hillington in AOH, they seem to be going well in their league.

Was at the match Friday night & agree with most of what you said except that it was a great game. The game itself was poor & there was always only going to be 1 winner. Wilton weren't at their best but in the end deserved the win. I thought both keepers looked suspect from every set piece and from every cross & ultimately it was a keepers mistake that led to the 1st Wilton goal. He flapped at a corner & it was headed home. The View to their credit scored almost straight away & held on till half time. I think Castleview were lucky Wilton were so poor as I was expecting a goal fest from the premier club. The so called big players from Wilton didn't play to their ability so therefore it wasn't the best of games. When Castleview moved their big striker back into the middle, they looked better & passed the ball around a it more. Once Wilton got the 3rd I thought it was a case of how many Wilton would get but they seemed content with the fact that the game was over. Wilton had Paul O' Mahony in midfield which was strange considering how good he is up front. He got 2 but would have been more effective up top. In my opinion Castleview won't challenge in Premier A, i think a top 4 finish would be a good achievement as the top teams in Premier A are strong.

Glen Celtic 1 Wicklow Rovers 1 (wicklow won 7-6 on pens)

Great game of football down the glen yesterday. Glen came out flying and went 1 up early on through Mark Nolans stunning free kick. In fairness Wicklow came back into it straight away and had a few good chances to level matters but did not equalise till a mistake by the Glen keeper midway through the 2nd half put them back in the game. Glen made a few tactical changes and seemed to have the better of the chances for the remainder of the game with John Corcoran nearly clinching it in the 2nd period of extra time.

Must give a lot of credit to the Wicklow defence as they kept Corcoran and Barry o Donovan under wraps for most of the game which was not easy. And a mention for the Wicklow no 9 who looked a class act with his all round game.

It was a great experience for all involved who i must say looked after the Wicklow crowd very well overall and fed them before they departed with best of wishes to them in the last 32.

This is a very young Glen team and i have no doubt if they keep this team together for the next few years they can achieve an awful lot.

donnie nothing could be done about their goal their left full hammered a volley in to the box hit off our defender and went in nothing our keeper could do,a few of us didnt play well but thankfully it didnt matter, taught we played some lovely ball in the 2nd half if im honest..
