carrig are a decent side shetland......they have been making steady progress over the years....they didnt produce the form on the day to be honest....and glen celtic played really well....on there number 11 he would make every topside in the aul stronger thats if he,s the same fella wer talking bout....but again he had a quiet game..the keeper for carrig really is a weak spot....so all in all it was a good win for glen....and a open draw ahead for them

Agreed - should be a good game. Unfortunately it clashes with my x-mas work do so I'll miss it but looking out now it could be cold & wet which will reduce the number of spectators...

In fairness were well in game until mick welsh made few second half substitutions but really collapsed after that...could and should be a very second half of season for Coachford

    Glen Celtic

    Glen Celtic 2 Knockraha 0

Glen continued their 100% start 2 the league with a win over one of the other contenders this morning. That is 7 wins from 7 with 29 goals scored and just 2 conceded. Big one next week in the last 64 of FAI junior cup. Good form going into it though.

Overthehill, with all your '??????????????' - it seems to make your comment very sinister!.

As you correctly stated, the game was called off due to an unplayable pitch!, I assume this was the same for the other 10+ Aul games called-off over the weekend, along with numerous other MSL fixtures.
Id put this down to the very heavy rain that fell during the week . . . wouldnt you?, dont know your exact location(west of the city r somewhere), but we did have severe downpours here in Cob-H during the week which would have resulted in many pitch(es) being unplayable.

At least the call was made early this morning and ye were informed before ye set out on your journey(all the way from the west!!!).

Almost correct in your comments ruler, but if it was so unplayable from all the rain "during the week" could the call have been made sat evening and the game switched to Killeady which was perfect?
As for my location and informing me before i set out on my journey... i was in the big smoke sat night and travelled down sun morn. Thanks for trying anyway! That would be the main reason in truth for my frustration! No hard feelings!

As I said previously, the decision was made early Sun morn (@8/8.30am) - it was left 'til then to give the pitch every oppurtunity of drying-out!. Unfortunately this didnt happen and the top surface was still very soft and would of cut up very quickly after kick-off!. This would definately have ruined what looked like a good game of ball between two footballing sides.

We would have loved this fxture to have taken place,
    1) because of possible back log of fixtures, ie-last Season
    2) now go into next weeks big Fai Jnr Cup away to Ballymun, without a game in 14+ days.

Finally, hope you enjoyed ur nite out 'in the big smoke', ud want to get onto your gaffer/teammates for not letting you know bout game being off before you set out from the city!!!.

Shetland, where to begin. A game that we looked like we would cruise after opening first half. Story of our year, not finishing chances. Greenwoods opening 2 were screamers in fairness. Their third was a gift. At 3-2 down, 20 mins to go, they went down to ten men. We missed subsequent pen, our 4th missed pen in row in normal time. If we had scored that feel we would have went on to win it. As it happened Greenwood held on.
