I would be wrong to say the officials had a good game but they didn't! For every good decision they made, they made 3 or 4 bad ones for BOTH teams! I agree with the two red cards and the penalty but Pike should have got an earlier one, also Kilmallock had a good claim for a penalty ! I didn't see the first goal but I saw Kilmallock's equaliser, it was a great run by the left-back who finished with his weaker leg, was a stupid yellow for taken off his jersey because he could have and should have been sent off for fouling consistently. Alan Barry's first was debatable but the keeper made a meal of it, his second was stupid because from what I heard he did handle it but I couldn't see it as I was at the far goals. The Kilmallock defender's first was given for shouting at the linesman on the Kilmallock side who couldn't see the penalty incident, he had to get the second yellow for his foul on Pa Moloney in the penalty box. One decision that angered me was the Moloney challenge on the keeper, it was a fair 50-50 but yet again the keeper made a meal of it because he knew Moloney was through. Overall it was good game, also the best of luck to Kilmallock for the rest of the season. Based on today's performance they should be well clear of the relegation spots and should be challenging for a Europa League spot

    Pike Team:
    Neville
    Colbert, Mullins, Enright, Cleary
    Hanrahan, Harnett, Kavanagh, Tierney
    Moloney, Barry

    Subs: Aherne, E O'Donovan, W O'Donovan, O'Grady, Stewart (Res Gk)

    Cool

great result for balla especially given it was in dublin.only saw the first half of kilmallock v pike, kilmallock should have had a definite pen not long after pikes goal which was well taken by barry,at that stage thought kilmallock playing better football.heard pike better in second half and should have had a pen before the one they did get.

Carrick may have a sticky one this sunday v North End United two unbeaten teams going head to head they have the same league record this season as carrick 7 wins 3 draws no losses, Anbody have any insight on how they play???? Will Shane Dempsey be a major loss to them???

They are all ''sticky'' at this stage as many clubs going into the unknown. The betting for outright winners would suggest Carrick (8/1) should beat North End (50/1). But then look at what happened re Clonmel Town's shock elimination from Munster Junior Cup last week against complete outsiders. Will Athenry (20/1) suffer a backlash against Clonmel Town (7/1)? Difficult to see Clonmel Town go out of the two major competitions within a week. St.Michaels Tipperary (5/1) going into the unknown against Wicklow Rovers, their first ever visit to Tipperary. St.Michaels win their games unimpressively, relying on clean sheets while grinding out goals from set pieces. The favourites, Pike Rovers (13/8), are unstoppable, but like St.Michaels, are just about grinding out results. Difficult to see Ballurgan (40/1) trouble them. I am only familiar with Munster teams so unfair for me to comment on other ties. Oh, by the way, keep an eye on Ballynanty Rovers from Limerick - good bet at 22/1.

Being a bit genorous to St. Michaels there "Alwaysahoop"...3-0 against Wicklow Rovers?? Id say if you asked their captain and gaffer (who were watching us the other night when we spanked Tolka Rovers intermediate team 4-1 away), they wouldnt be so cocky! Id say they`re dreading the rovers coming down and stomping all over them!

I hear they are very cocky going into this match, and the bookies aint giving us a chance, they`re in for a major shock!

I can guarantee you their captain and the rest of the squad have been around long enough not to underestimate anyone, they will expect a serious battle as always at this stage of the tournament, best of luck to Town and Saints i hope the entire league rallies around both sides Saturday and Sunday and we have 2 teams in the quarter finals after the weekend
