pike clearly favourates but not worth backing at such small odds, maybe rock celtic @ 20/1 or saint peters @ 33/1 worth an outside punt, douglas hall and kinsale going well too down in cork but couldnt see either beating the likes of saint michaels or carrick if they were drawn away to play them. if i had to put on just one bet it would be carrick each way. there having a nightmare with injuries but seem to be playing badly and still winning which is a sign of a great team
if it wasnt for birds and booze id have played for ireland juniors!!!!!

St peters changed management during the week so i think that may effect them, they also went out of the Leinster cup last weekend. Crazy short price for Pike, not worth backing at 2/1 for junior football. Home draws will play a big part. Killester have ben consistently good. Clubs have more games to play than others. Westport and Athenry have not got to round 5 yet so thats a disadvantage. No sign of City United in the betting?

2-1 on pike is crazy price in junior football, cup football could go anyway although going on last last years munster junior semi final they are very strong in all areas, i can see why they are favs but i wouldnt be backing anyone @ 2s until the semis or final

Cant argue with Pike being the favourites, but 2/1 is very skimpy. Killester @ 7/1 is interesting, but they may have an appeal to get through yet. Sheriff @ 8/1 looks iffy too, their tie(14.) looks very congested. Carrick at 12's and St Micheals at 14's look very reasonable, both have already won their 5th round games and have home draws in the 6th round.

I hear that Castlebar are pulling out of the 'A' league. Would they be able to re-grade players for the Junior Cup?? could be worth a sneaky e/w bet at a big price if they were

timberlegs would tramore be as good as carrick i have never seen them play? 16/1 is short enough odds for a team that havent really done much in fai over past few years, clonmel town would be far better bet in my opinion at 16/1 great cup team and are going well again this season

tramore have alot of young ex waterford utd players grinncel mccarthy rockett grant the play a lovely brand of passing football but some times they fail to put away chances, if they get a run they could be very dangerous.

is that steven grant didnt know he was gone back junior, he was U21 international only few years back was one of waterfords better players at the time too. tramore must be decent so if they have few other ex loi players aswell.

I reckon Tramore on their day not too far at all away from Carrick to be honest- very good footballing side. They won Premier league couple of seasons ago in Waterford and would be in top 2-3 in Waterford for sure.Hardest thing for Waterford clubs is getting out of our own area every year(only 2 places).Agree 16/1 is a good price for Clonmel giving their recent history in cup competitions but think Tramore are as good a side as them.

What's the Waterford league like down there? Would it be an open league like with more than 3 teams could win it or is it a two horse league?

In Mayo, the 4 teams going into Round 5 are Ballina Town, Castlebar Celtic, Kiltimagh + Knock Utd and Westport Utd.
