Magicme is not going to be a happy bunny. Wasn't it announced that he had agreed to stay?
Yep.
He appears to have done the dirtbag alright.
I can probably organise a small bit of abuse in Limerick if it's any comfort to anyone :p

A player who had the ability to make it to the top but wasted it. Hope your bar is well stocked for his arrivalHes only 22 hoopy, there is plenty of time left, give the lad a chance. :)

Leopard and spots and all that.
Bad attitude. Not going to change any time soon. First Division player at tops; not going to add anything to a Premier Division side.

Alot of people would have said the same about John Lestar aswell, came 2nd in our player of the year votes, had a stormer this year.

Lester was just fat though; you can work on that. Leech is a waster.

No need for abuse but yeah its the same guy. He wasnt on loan as such with us but Pats had first refusal on him at the end of the season.
Good luck in Waterford Luke.

John Lestor had an excellent season with Limerick (albeit in the first the year before that). Also I don't think that Johnny boy's attitude was ever in question, just his weight?

I still think too much is made of his weight. He's not particularly slow and work-rate and application were never in doubt with us. His propensity for yellow cards on the other hand...

No, not sure at all now. I had heard he had put pen to paper but was misinformed. I'll leave it to magicme to update this section from now on, when signings are official :)

It was never said that he had signed. If you read the press releases correctly, it says he "agreed terms" which he has. Whether he finally commits or not is anyone's guess. He was due to come in as Luke Fitzpatrick and him are good mates and Luke was encouraging him to join him at Monaghan so now that Luke is gone who knows.
Good news is that James Hand has definately signed. Also Danny Woods has definately signed.

Seems a bit drastic (http://shinymedia.headshift.com/images/images/tracy_barlow_outside_court.jpg),Still you'll have a killer team now.

Ya, what's he like? did he have many starts?
I think it was that he is a left footed player is why he was signed!

He's not bad...Didn't really get in the team much when he joined...Played mostly in the last few games of the season...Decent player at either left full or left mid...Good signing for ye..

The Irish Sun: Dessie Byrne has signed for St Pat’s for a third spell.
Byrne, 26, has agreed a two-year contract with the Richmond Park outfit after being released by Bohemians.
St Pat’s boss John McDonnell said: “Dessie is an experienced player who can play in a few different positions and when he became available, we were interested.
“I worked with him before from when he was here but then we lost him to Bohs so it’s good to get him back.”
Byrne - who predominantly plays at left-back - has also had stints with Stockport, Wimbledon, Cambridge and Carlisle United.

This time last year Sean Connor called Dessie Byrne the best left back in the league did he not? Something along those lines anyway.
In fairness to Dessie, when he was on song for Pats previously, there were few better.

I'm gutted he's left. He was one of, if not my favourite player. Certainly the best left back we had at the club, so surely Connor will have to look to replace him with a bit of quality.
Something tells me he'll go with Powell as his left back though, with Brennan as his replacement if he gets suspended / injured.
