Anyway how hard is it for them to get it right , dont they have someone from every club giving them details?
Every time I do a Rovers game you can be sure there'll be a couple of players that havent been there for at least 2-3 years

I should FINALLY be upgrading the computer to one that works this weekend, and I plan on bullying them to giving me a free game - is 2008 any good then, or should I carry on with 2007?

Coleman not selected for trying to break up JP Kelly :p

They used to have guys at every club doing research (som 30-odd people in total) - but looking at the credits this time around - that has shrunk down to about 4 or 5...

yes shelbourne definitly needed downgrading for the next patch!!.... they have waled the 1st division and now are 6/4 second favourites for the prem.....coupled with the fact they've just spent €160,000 on a player...:rolleyes:

They won the first division and then the premier the next season in my first 2 seasons at a canter.

i've downgraded them to levels I think are correct in my db - will run through the game for three seasons to see how they are a ffected

ye basically all you need is to download the default kits which Jarvo has made and place them in the folder for the graphics and then in the editor folder as this has kits too! the site is down atm so ill post a link when its up and running!

only on my 2nd season (but it takes an awful lot of hours) and i think im going to have to quit and edit them to the standard which they should be

that striker that they got for €160,000 is just ripping every team to shreads...most of there players wouldnt look out of sorts in the championship in England!!

also Dermott Keely is missing as there manager!!.... thats Leech and Keely and over-rating/too much finance that needs sorting of Shelbourne for the next patch!!

Lads great stuff with what you are doing on the EL tems but could someone tell me please is 2008 any good? Have 2005 and 2007, loved 05 hated 07 too clunky waiting for the days to go by, did not find it very user friendly so went back to 2006. However, as you would expect it is becoming dated so would like to up grade. Any thoughts or is CM 2008 a better bet. Thanks

Bought 08 today and so far so good. They've got rid of my pet peeve of when you ask for the assistants team report he always says you're not good enough to achieve your targets, no matter who is in your squad. At 40euro lads I'd say its worth a purchase, I'll be able to give ye a better review in about two weeks or so though.

Oh and one mistake if anyone doing patches reads this is that Tommy Lynch is down as Limerick 37's manager, with McGee down as a coach, when sadly it's the other way around in real life

There is minimal updates. They've fixed the kits from what I can see but they haven't done much else.

Purely on time constraints they couldn't have gotten everything done in time.

It should appear in the massive update in Christmas/New Year

I'm not too sure but I'd imagine its save game compatible

But in any event even if its not you would still be able to continue any saved games.

This means everything from positions, squad numbers, transfers, manager movements etc etc. So the reason I am posting this is to get help from you guys to make the game as realistic as possible for you. So how did yous all do managing Ireland. I'm in the WC 2010 Qualifiers after a lackluster Euro 2008 quarter final defeat.

I happened to have Dean Kiely, Holland and Breen on my club side (Ipswich) and as favoured personnel, they accepted my invitation to come out of international retirement, which is a bit of a laugh.

Kiely deputised for Given who was injured for the Euro 2008 finals, and Holland became the new captain for the WC 2010 qualifiers after Breen resigned.

I think I'll make it to the finals for the WC but the game is cruel with new Irish talent, I can't see any new players making the grade.

Im just after playing football manager in the 2009 season and was shocked to see that the Premier Division finished after 27 games :eek: and the First Division teams played 44!! Is this the way its going to be or is football manager wrong???

It's wrong. What's happened is that the amount of teams in each division has changed (as real life) but the amount of games played in each division has not.

It may be hard-coded although I'm sure you can fix it with the FMM editor. (Dowloadable from many SI affiliate sites.)
