So I'm playing a game with Kettering at the moment, running maybe 8 leagues ot so and middway through the second season I've realised that the Scottish leagues never restarted after the first campaign. Their cups are still played out and their reserve leagues are still in operation too. Anybody else experienced anything similar. I've also noticed that in the eircome League first division Wexford Youth are apparently going to be playing in relegation playoff as the division's bottom team. What the hell? :confused:

Known bugs. Have been fixed in the patch.

As regards the 27 game season, it's not fixed in CTID's update or in the patch. Should be fixed in January.

As it transpired Wexford narrowly defeated DCU in a one-legged play-off affair to retain their place in the First Division...

Wexford were relegated in mine and Mullingar came up to replace them.

Can you put up the instructions for adding these kits to the game please? I have the last lot that were on a website and was able to add them but how can I add these to replace the old Cork and Bray kits? Also, if I get photos of my FM08 squad from around the net, how can I add them to the game also? Thanks for the help.

Yep. That works. I saved the smaller of the images. The Cork kit has disappeared though. Any ideas about the photos? How do I do that please?

Excellent. 1 last question though. If I have signed an English player and his photo isn't on the game, is there a way I can do that? Sorry to be a pest.

You should be. Make sure the image is a 95px jpeg (you should be able to resize it using imageshack), then put in the correct folder;

C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\Irish_FAI_Eircom_League_28\Irish FAI Eircom League 2007-08\Normal\Misc Players Staff

Then rename the image similar to the other images, eg joe_bloggs.

Ah yeah, I'm a thick when it comes to anything like that. The face pack that you sentme to downloads fine but the players photos on their profile pages are very small compared to the ones already on the game. I haven't got Image Shack so don't have a clue how to do any of that stuff. I'll just carry on without them. Thanks for your help anyway.

Do you need to be registered or something as its not letting me download saying i dont have permissions.

Edit- Got it working. That site doesnt support download managers so i had to turn it off before downloading.

For some completely illogical reason - since I've updated the game - for about 70% of all the corners taken in the game, some lunatic from the team taking the kick drifts out to the very corner of the six yard box (about 3 yards wide of the goal) and blasts a header wide every time. The commentary always reads "even the manager's got his head in his hands." It's true, I do, but only because there doesn't seem to be anyway from restraining my players' idiocy in this regard!!! Only once have I seen a goal scored from this position in the game - and fine it was glorious, and yeah it was to go 4-1 up against Cobh, and yeah maybe I danced around the room with glee for the remainder of the half...:cool:

...but seriously the rest of the time it is irksome in the extreme!!!

Same thing kept happening to me. Just go to the player instructions and change whichever on of your strikers has "stand at near post" to "attack near post".

Can someone post a link to an in game editor that is save game compatable pls? i.e. so I can set Finnan to 'retired from internationals' and change the name of Limerick 37's home ground etc, It was probably posted here already but I'm too lazy to look through 7 pages

Is it just me or is the transfer system in the game very unrealistic?

I had no problem signing top english youngsters from premiership clubs when their contracts expired in the summer every summer for kilkenny.

As barcelona i had to pay 38m for Maicon nearly 4 times his real value.

As Manchester United i was quoted 66m no less for micah richards.

As ajax i couldnt get harry kewell for less than 4m even though he was on the transfer list for 2.9m.

I have countless examples of players at the 'top level' being ridiculously overpriced even for todays standards, and being able to sign world class talent at eircom league clubs for peanuts. In 2014 i had argentinas world cup winning playmaker, australia's no.1 and 2 scottish international centre halfs at bray-for less than 500 euro a week, if only! Seriously though for a game which does so much right, to have what is pretty much one of the most important parts of the game like this is disappointing. I know a load of people who feel the same, and ive had each one since 98 and ive never thought it was bad enough to speak out about until now. There. Rant over.

What players i cant sign anybody with rams. Like connor sammon free agent nobody interested he still wont sign for me.

well just for example using drogheda i have shane supple in goals, bentley, kevin doyle, buonanotte and some good randomly generated players.....puzzling but im not complaining.

Is anybody doing an el update for it or does this update have all up to date transfers in it? Suppose there's no harm in downloading it and finding out! Another thing is in season 2009 the premier only play 27 games each instead of 36! Its seriously annoying!

Your 2nd issue will be fixed with the SI patch which will be out in a week or so. I worked on their database aswell as a Bohs researcher so that's done pretty well. The other clubs had individual researchers too so I'd say they will be good - finances, stadium etc. as well as players. The DB will be out as part of the patch.

Main changes:

Ireland

- If a lower division team wins the Irish First division relegation playoff, it is now always promoted.
- Fixed Irish Champions Leaue representatives not featuring in the All Ireland Cup when Ireland is not active.
- Fixed number of Irish Premier Division rounds as from 2009, should be 4 and not 3.

- Fixed a crash in the Munster Senior Cup caused by a Munster team getting relegated from the Irish First Division.
