Andy O'Brien starts a league game for the first time since 4 November, 2006!
And from what I saw on TV turned in a hapless performance. Justifiable I suppose given he's been out for so long but hardly confidence inspiring.

Sheehan scored tonight from a free kick (a beauty apparently) for Leceister against Forest

Faint praise from the Guardian: The City equaliser had a touch of real class as Alan Sheehan, a midfielder with a sweet left foot, if not much else, curled a free-kick over the wall and beyond Smith.

I see he replaced Hunt though so it doesn't look likely he's going to be given the opportunity to play central midfield this season.

After Wednesday night’s news that Stephen Ireland had put pen to paper on a five-year deal, a pleased Eriksson revealed: “I’m very happy he’s signed.

“He’s a very, very good footballer and one coming from the Academy, so that’s one more we have the long-term. That’s good for the Club and good for us.

“I think that he will play a very good football match for us on Saturday, he’s training very well.”

Anywhere below second or third tier in Spain is terrible. The groups/leagues are split up into regions meaning most groups are rubbish.
