O Dea left on the bench again today as Balde was chosen to replace injured McManus.Despite getting praise for his performance when he came on against Rangers still no place for Darren. He must realise now he is wasting his time in Glasgow

what a fantastic goal by keane today, hammered on halfway and got up to storm forward and finish splendidly. one of his best in recent memory!
He also had another perfectly legit goal ruled offside.

It's clear that Keane thrives when his team play a quality passing game on the deck.

was at the QPR -v- West Brom game very impressed with Damien Delaney .Big, Strong , good tackler and very good going forward definitely an option at full back. Was talking to him at the Player of the year dinner sound bloke doesnt think he will get a look in if Don Givens has a say in it.Martin Rowlands won both the Players and Supporters Player of the year awards.

Thanks for the service this season tets.First thing I look for on the web every Monday.
Overall I have to say its been a pretty disapointing season for Irish players abroad.Kevin Doyle losing his scoring touch.Darren O Deas non breakthrough at Celtic after great progress previous season.Terry Dixons alleged retirement due to injury,Paul McShane etc etc.
Highlights-Stephen Irelands early season form but we all know his situation. In fairness Robbie and McGeady have had good seasons with their clubs.Stephen Reids successful return from injury could be crucial.Andy Reid maybe worth a mention.Transfer window could be interesting regarding the likes of Doyle and Garvan.

Yes. Thank you Tets.

Also agree a very dismal season for us, worst in years. Terribly poor form, as you say apart from Keane, McGeady & I'd add Dunne. And Lawrence - but he can't seem to get himself noticed, so that's no use at all.
No exciting breakthroughs either (Scannel's green shoots aside).
Retirements etc.

It appears that Conor McCormack, recently released by Man Utd, has agreed to take part in Gleen Hoddle's latest project: training young players who have been released from premier league clubs in an effort to discover 'late starters' such as Didier Drogba at his academy in Jerez, Spain. I found this in the Sunday Mirror:

'Nowhere is the scramble for places better illustrated than the case of Manchester United cast - off Conor McCormack, from Dundalk, in Ireland.
He clocked on for trials at Hoddle's academy after being picked up from Heathrow airport on his way home from United's Champions League party in Moscow.
McCormack, 18, said: "It was a blow to be released by a big club like United, but you are not just competing against lads from England, Scotland, Wales or Ireland for professional contracts any more.
"They signed two Brazilian lads who played in the same midfield position as me, so the competition is tough.'
