But Dundalk were lucky to get past us and only did so because we had to play our home game in Holland. :D
I`ve only seen this comment now. David how on earth can you justify this ? Surely the disadvantage was also with Dundalk for having to play the away leg in Holland rather than 50 miles away, granted it would have been a hostile atmosphere in Windsor, but that Dundalk team was one of the best Irish sides of all time and they were at their peak around this period, I would have been very confident playing in Windsor.
Also remember you had the away goal in oriel so we still had to win the next game or at least draw 2-2 to advance, for the record we won 2-0 (3-1 agg) so end of argument that we were 'lucky'
The next two rounds emphasised how good that team was (Hibs Malta 2-0 + 0-1) and Celtic (2-3 + 0-0)
