paypal take 3% remember that.

go on put me down as well on condition my name is BIGGER than everyone elses, as with most things about me ;) :D

The fees (https://www.paypal.com/ie/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-receiving-fees-outside) are actually higher than that, PP will take 3.4% + 35c per transaction. If you decide to go that route, I'll cover the cost of the transactions, which will come to €82.74, and I'll probably throw a few quid more in. I have a PP account, if people have no objection to that being used, I'll set up a button for it.

Chat about it amongst yourselves there, let me know when ye come to a decision.

EDIT: For the record, unless someone I know well from Foot.ie is actually organising this, if I'm organising the money I'll only pay it direct to the manufacturer of the banner. I'm sure you can understand this is just a CYA measure.

If it's going through Paypal let me know what account as I'm about to withdraw my funds from Paypal and rarely use it anymore. Put me down for €40.

We can get them to do that when we order it.Won't that cost more?

Personally I think putting Foot.ie across the entire length of the flag might be overkill, and might get it confiscated as "advertising". Not saying you shouldn't, just offering an opinion.

Sounds like a good idea alright adam. No offence intended to casso36 but he's only been here a few weeks and he's already organising to €1800 off people to buy a flag. Some people might think it's a scam.
If I was going to pay something towards this I'd rather if it was going through someone with more of a back ground on the site.

I am assuming that Foot.ie are happy with the idea of the flag and on that basis i have no hesitation in transmitting the money to foot.ie by whatever means.

On a lighter note whoever is bringing the flag will have to buy a 2nd seat when travelling with Ryanair :D :D :D

The flag is computer printed in full colour and extra lettering etc doesnt cost any more. It would take them a couple of hours to cut and paste logos from this site or a few minutes if they were only to print the names. Well thats the way they print all our advertising material.

I don't doubt it's a good process, but I reckon a copied and pasted logo from here would look pretty horrid. Raster images don't scale up too well! I can arrange a vector image though, I'm sure I have one here somewhere.

Leon,

no offence, but only found out about site in the star that time when eventim.de was in it, never even knew it was here, but now as you can see i am on all the time, i have no problem with sombody else collecting the money once we get the flag made. I can assure you that the last thing i would do is rip people off as i run my own business and that's just not me, but i can see where your comimg from!!!. So if someone else collects the funds that fine by me. Is that alright???

[QUOTE=casso36]Right all!!!

If you check the flag/banner thread you will see that we are trying to organise to get flag/banner made for all the european qualifier games.
The flag will have the Foot.ie logo on it and will say FOOT.IE ON TOUR
And will have all the names of people who donated in small around edge of flag. The cost is €1610.00 so will need 81 - 82 donations. Add name to list if you want to offer the €20.00 fee for the flag. Would need all money offered by latest end of july so we can order and have ready for 2/09/2006 germany -v- Ireland game.

I'll go €100 and thats for the 4 of us wife and kids. If you want to cut off list at end of week and go back and reduce size to budget, might be better idea.

travelling with about 20 or so and will see all them at the Dutch game, shoul get a few more pledges then. Bit late but maybe for the cyprus game on.

Any doubters wouldnt it be great in 20 years to see your name on the biggest flag going, and think back to 2006. Thats from a vetran of 26 years travelling to watch the boys in green. What a life full of memories.

How about meeting before the Dutch game and sorting the organisers out for the cost of the flags- preferably in a pub that isnt a rip off price one!

Alternately post cheques to Adam but made payable to Prospect Design, they then are no good to anyone else if we dont get enough, and Prospect wouldnt cash them if they werent doing the flag. Im sure they would take a mixture pf chqs given the circumstances.
