i have been bidding for a few tickets on ebay but they are going for ridiculous money...the last item i bid for was for 2 tickets and thenywent for over 250euro...on the night we will all probably be willing to pay up to 100 euro but some of the prices at the minute are shocking...see you at the big screen...come on you boys in green

Just a thought, but should we place a limit on the number of tickets you can request on the waiting list? (say max of 2/3 per person??). I know some people are travelling in groups of 5, 7 12 whatever, but (a) it seems a little unfair on those members below those on the waiting list and (b) obviously all the tickets aren't going to members of this forum.

Its just a thought, what does anyone else think?

Great Im in 66A, thought being in the lower tier would be a better view if anything. Really dont like these stadiums with a running track around them.

Don't complain about the "view".......it'll still be miles better than the one the lads on this list will get!!;) :(

Just got 4 tickets off the german ebay site. I paid 390 euro for all four which is very good cause most of the auctions are ending up at 150 euro per ticket. The tickets are in block 33, hope we are not the only irish here, but who cares i will be there. Only need 8 more for the rest of the gang (but at least i am sorted).

Anybody looking for a ticket should check out the site (see below) loads of tickets on it!!!

http://search.ebay.de/deutschland-irland-stuttgart

When you are in the site right click and you should get an option to translate to english. And make sure they post to europe as some of them only post to germany.

Good luck everyone, see you in Stuttgart, come on you boys in green

I have been looking for tickets and i love the way there are tickets in the Ireland section on sale on ebay. There tickets should be tracked back to who the FAI gave them to and these people should never get a ticket again, a disgrace!!!

As far as is known the Irish offical section is 61, 62 and 63 only. The tickets online for sale claiming to be in the Irish section aren't. These are tickets that were on general sale online but have been 'taken over' by Irish. There is a difference.

yup i reckon you are right bluetonic , the ones for sale are those close to the irish area but not those in it... or they better not be....

As the Fai have not acutally posted out tickets it amazes me how they can be selling FAI issude tickets on ebay, but i agree that any tickets that do apear on the black market should be traced back and the seller banned from getting tickets.

CAn I be added to that list also please, I also got one of the tough sh**e letters from the FAI, BB since it started 11 tickets, doesn't count when it comes up against sponsors and affiliates  . EVerything else is in place for 5 of us going out flights accom in Sindelfingen by the S-Bahn just tickets now the stumbling block

The Irish began buying up 66 first on eventim so I imagine that area will be pretty much Irish. Section 65 seems to be the last section to go on sale. I think it was originally earmarked for segregation but when the Irish started buying up the tickets they put it on sale. This was after they made it hard for Irish to get tickets so there might be a fair few Germans there.

I'm starting to get a bit anxious

The waiting list is getting longer but offers of tickets are not coming in. The successful BB's should be aware of their allocation now and if they are going to use all the tickets and will have some available for those on the waiting list.

If there is anybody out there who can help put some of us out of our misery, please:)

Well said AidoM! Getting a bit anxious myself.

As per an earlier post we probably should have a max limit of 3 tkts in the optimistic view that there are that many spares out there!

i would say that a lot of lads are waiting for the fai tickets to actually arrive before passing on spares. i wouldnt wait around though and difficult as it is to stomach people may have to consider the likes of ebay etc. and pay a bit over the face value. worth it imo

How come?

Because eventim sold them to us.

Seriously, it was the large scale purchase of tickets for these sections from new registrants on eventim and from purchasers outside Germany that alerted eventim and the DBF to the fact Ireland supporters were buying 'home' tickets.

setanta1966 has been banned permanently from Foot.ie for touting via our private messaging system. If you want to sell tickets on Foot.ie, the maximum price is cover + postage. No excuses, no sob stories, no exceptions.

If you agreed to purchase tickets from this user, I would strongly suggest pulling out of the transaction while you still have the chance; I have no sympathies for buyers that break our rules either.

No touts on Foot.ie.

I was one engaged in conversation with setanta 1966 on the basis that he is German based and things might be easier that way. I presumed he was forwarding them on at the same price that he was been charged.

Any one else have 2 avail tickets?

Lads,

Just a quick note here about this guy. He posted last week and asked if anyone needed help bidding on ebay.de. I contacted him and we had phone conversation about what he was offerring which was basically that he would bid on ebay.de on my behalf. and if successful would post the tickets to me if he got payment via paypal. He struck me as a decent sort and i agreed to this. He was very good at keeping intouch about the various auctions he was bidding on. He eventually "won" 2 tickets beside each other, and contacted me. He was able to present ebay.de confirmation emails for the auction win and a paypal reciept from his transaction with the German seller. I paid him the exact amount he paid the German guy, plus €6 for postage to Belfast. The tickets arrived this morning.

He also rang me to work yesterday to assure me that the tickets were on their way despite what had been said on this forum and his subsequent banning.

I understand the rules for buying and selling on this forum, but when such a transparent paper trail is left by someone offering to help fellow fans by bidding by proxy on ebay, i feel that the accussations of tout and banning is a massive over reaction.

PS I paid €85 for each ticket and Setanta took the hit for the paypal transaction fee. Im sure if he really wanted to make a profit he could have taken the tickets to Stuttgart and stood outside the ground and got double that he got from me.

I think the lad deserves a break

There are no exceptions to the tickets rules on Foot.ie without explicit permission from me or one of the other admins or supermods; there's nearly always someone online, it doesn't take a lot of effort to contact us. The rule is right there at the top of this forum and it's very clearly stated.

Moreover, an eBay account is an eBay account, if people want to buy tickets on eBay.de they should use their own eBay account to bid, or register one for themelves on eBay.com or eBay.ie. The site is transparently easy to use in any language.

The user in question hasn't been banned permanently, they'll be back next week. In future maybe they'll obey the rules.

what really bothered me about this individual was that he contacted me by pm even though i was not on the waiting list, and when i responded by pm pointing out the rules (and accepted that he may not be touting) instead of an apology i got abuse

hopefully this will be the end of touting by PM

I'm coming from Canada for this and as of now I've no tickets. Given that many of us might end up without on the night I was wondering what the alternative would be.

Is it definite that there will be a giant screen in the main square.? If not is there a big beerhall anyone can suggest that we turn into little Ireland.

I'll be disappointed if I can not source a ticket but the important thing for me is to be in Stuttgart and totally enjoy the experience - I misses it first time rround 1988 but won a tidy sum from the Englsih guys I drank with in the Brittania Pub in Thornhill (Toronto). Mind you I had to skip that pub for a while after as they were not best pleased after giving me odds of 3/1.

I had tickets for Paris and was being offered tickets at face value by Irish supporters on the way into the stadium so I'm still optomistic.

I'm suggesting we have an alternate plan for ticketless fans ...........

Any ideas.

Cheers,

The Germans are still selling a bunch of tickets on e-bay and at this stage i would just buy them there. It does not look like there will be many spare tickets on the night and France was an exception because of the problems with the phones etc....

The price for tickets on ebay.de are decreasing every week. There are still plenty available, and I reckon they will keep decreasing as we get nearer the date. There is currently 3 tickets beside each other for sale on ebay.de for €212 with about half an hour of auction left. Thats not too bad considdering. For those on the list I really feel this could be your only option if willing to pay over the odds.
The price for tickets on ebay.ie is getting ridiculous.

your all great to have ur "principles", but i gaurantee you if it comes to the crunch and ur standing outside the stadium in stuttgart, ul fork out whatever is needed to see the game.

I don't think there is a problem in saying that someone has to buy a ticket from a tout at a certain price but the guy was adverstising for business for a tout, thats not being helpful or needed and certaintly not something I joined foot.ie to see.

I decided to go ahead and try to get tickets on ebay.

got an old German gent from the local German/Canadian club to help me. He has a mate living near Stuttgart whom he telephoned and this man will accept the tickets at his address and deliver them to me at my hotel. It's amazing how helpful people can be.

It's is very difficult to negotiate the German e-bay if you do not have German.

Anyway - so far so good. I ordered the tickets and as long as I'm no problems transferring the money to the seller's bank A/C in Germany - My Canadian bank will probably make the process as difficult as possible - and
the seller is legit I should be sorted.

However, after our performance against the Dutch I'm very worried as to what I might be witness to. .................:( :( :(

Cheers
