5,573 at Tallaght for relegation/promotion play-off, not bad/along expectations I suppose ?

Not bad at all imo. It’s not a glamour tie and it’s held in a generic municipal stadium. Very healthy.

As opposed to what, a crumbling dilapidated edifice?

Drogs Cup win helped the interest for their travelling fans. Great attendance on the day and helps promote the play-off option for the league!

It was watching the game on TV. Seemed a good atmosphere. Some good aerial footage of the ground. I'm not overly gone on the one off neutral playoff but the clubs must be in favour. Would prefer to see a packed Carlisle Grounds and a packed United Park over two legs.

Do the clubs involved get a cut of the gate?

You cant really be that sensitive PC or that easily baited surely? Tallaght is a generic style football stadium that is municipal owned and I think D24S's comment as suggesting the neutral nature and unspectacular stadium attraction compared to say the Aviva, not being a showpiece final with proper silverware, so a healthy attendance. It must be one of the highest attended play-offs, I cant think of another that could be higher?

I'm just prepping for next season Nesta, when there'll be no end of uppity pats fans on here proclaiming that the sun rises and sets on Richmond road :)
It'll make a change from it being uppity dundalk fans on here proclaiming something similar :)

I don’t think you’ll find many Pats fans with positives to say about Richmond Road given that’s the road Tolka Park is on :D

While we’re on the topic of it, I recall a story of a European team coming over to play Pats in Inchicore and a bus driver bringing them to Tolka Park on Richmond Road rather than Richmond Park on Emmett Road. Can’t remember if it was for training on the pitch the night before the match or if it was on the match day itself

Fans of clubs topping the heap, hardly unusual for them to blow their own trumpet! Sun rising and setting on Oriel, well hardly would have made for spectacular views!!
