One away ticket scanned at Finn Park.
Was there actually one fan, or was it more a case of any Wexford fans just buying a home ticket as it doesn't matter either way?

I genuinely didn't see any Wexford fans. The away section just had a handful of Harps fans in it. Just know there was only one away ticket scanned.
There were 100 to 120 Waterford fans in Athlone last week. One bus made the journey and others went by car.
Decent turnout considering the official supporters bus was cancelled.

Was it John Rogers by any chance?

Dundalk 600 tonight in Drogheda.
Shels had about 2/300 today in Cork attendance of 5,000+
1,610 at Cobh v Galway….very few away fans as was expected, maybe about 10, only heard as Galway scored and two of that away support actually live in Cobh.!

Seemed to be a decent crowd behind the net from the stream. Looked to be 30/40?

The supporters club had a bus with 35 on it.

I'd say that is about right, fair play to them for making the trip.
1,610 in Cobh is great given the population.

From looking on the telly it looked liked Sligo had the same crowd tonight as Dundalk brought last week.

4017 at dalymount, couldn’t guess the away numbers, lot of home fans in an away stand that looked to be about 250 strong.

It was never 500. They filled one small part of one stand.
I went into the ground an hour before kickoff and they were still selling tickets.

bohs filled that exact stand and they brought the full allocation of 700. theres no chance there was 300 odd free spots in there yesterday.

Looks like 20 accross the front and 30 deep = 600 ish
A cork fan should know the seats per section id imagine

Definitely looks around 400-500 there. Great following for them, to be fair.

Great to get these figures from those that were either at the match or is good at estimating. Well done m8! :)

I'd have said nearly double that tbh. There were a lot of Harps in the main stand, and 30/40 behind the goals. Probably about 80-90 in all.

Not sure how you could have estimated 10! ?
I’d have said about 50 United fans there. Our lowest of the season but our 3 trips have been Harps, Waterford and Cobh!
I got a return train from Dublin and there were loads of Shels fans on the same train.
40 to 50 Bray fans at the RSC.

Yeah I was probably erring on the lesser side as I couldn't see how many were in the main stand. Quite a few there came down to the players at the end tbf

I think that should have been 1500 estimate, sorry typo!
500, 1200 and now 1300, thats an average of 1,000 which would be quiet a good estimate to give!
or
'As mentioned previously in this thread, there was 1200 pats fans in Tallaght' & 'Think it was close to 1300 Pats fans in Tallaght'
For an average of 1250.
So, I think between 1,000/1250 would be a fair estimate, and thanks for the input as its always great to get another fans information.
Well done 2 Year Contract :D

Yeah, three or four lads travelled up from Cobh and there's a couple of Cobh folk based locally here. Around 6 or 7 there. Fair play to the lads who done the trip as well!

2,193 official for this game, but there were some seats (not many) free in the small stand. Also not sure what away terrace can fit but it was fairly jammed, 600 seems a bit on low side, also that would suggest almost 1600 home fans, which I`m not sure there was?
I would have gone 800 away around 1400 home, but I don't know capacity or what 'sold out' away section means in actual figures.
Why do Drogs have such a poor home support? It must be the state & conditions at United Park. Even when they were challenging in the day, they were lucky to attract 2000+
Anyone from the area able to give some insight into the Drogheda's attendance or support problems!

United Park is a bit of a death trap. The main home stand where they have their vocal support is in utterly dreadful condition. Was in it during the behind closed doors games and couldn't get over how bad it was.
With such a small ground, and being in such poor condition, I'm not surprised the crowds are low.
If you build, they will come! :)

Thought away section held more than 600 at Drogs, but maybe it has been reduced due to H+S, great atmosphere in away end but its so dark in start / end of season months.

It also makes a mockery of minimum standards for club licensing. Are Drogheda still claiming every year that they're moving to another stadium ?

They've never been either particularly well supported or particularly successful as a club.
Up until they won the FAI Cuo n 2005 and the 8 or so years that followed that they were neither particularly successful nor particularly well-supported as a club. Their crowds in the 80s and 90s were poor (as they were at a lot of clubs to be honest).
Dundalk have had success and decent crowds at various points over the decades, but Drogheda just had a flash in the pan moment for both earlier this century. I guess Drogheda isn't as solid a 'soccer' town as the likes of Dundalk and Sligo are (despite Drogheda being twice Sligo's size) ?

Could never understand why Drogs had so small of a support(not having a go here btw) the ground is in Moneymore,a working class area with a big population.. out to the west of the town is Rathmullen - another big, working class estate although a couple of miles from the town. Those areas are where you'd expect the core support for Drogheda to come from.
in Dundalk it's a fairly simaler picture. Our core support is from working class areas like Coxes(close to the ground) and Muirhevnamor(2 miles away)

Don't the FAI own the ground! They are never going to not give themselves a licence.
