I'd say around 40 Galway fans in the RSC and they made decent noise.
That's surprisingly low

That's surprisingly low

I thought we had 60 or 70 there and I was very happy with that.
Traditionally we have very poor away support so that would be one of the biggest supports we’ve ever had down at the RSC.

Over 3 hours normally but road works in Carrick on Suir put an extra half hour travelling down yesterday. There was approx 90 there 30 on the supporters bus and the rest drove down. Some noise quietened the 2,700 home fans.

11 Bray fans in Finn Park, or at least 11 away tickets sold, and didn't seem like any more than that in the ground.

Ah fair enough didn't realise it was such a trek

Fair enough. I was in middle of that stand so didn't have a great view of away section . It's a long journey and not many away fans travel in first division.

Definitely a lot more than 30-40 Galway United fans, I would've said 70-80 probably.

Great crowd from Waterford at the game, there was a decent atmosphere at the game. You get the feeling Waterford will need to improve significantly or the crowds may drop off a bit.

Any UCD fans at the city game last night?

I was getting updates from one anyway, but don't know many were down. Presumably not too many

I've found that Galway have always travelled in smaller numbers to Limerick than we have to Galway, if that's any mode of comparison.

It will be interesting to see the away support figures or estimates for Mondays nights full Premier fixtures!

Cork had well over 100 as a lot of Dublin based Cork fans were there.
Shels had a big following in Dundalk 3/400

Anyone else?

I’d estimate around 250 pats in Sligo tonight, decent crowd for a Monday to watch our puke football

I'd say about 250 Shels fans in Dundalk for last nights game which is up about 239 from their last visit to town

I’m not good at estimates but if the Mono Stand holds 450, Drogs had 250-300. Probably towards the upper end of that range. I stand to be corrected. Was a very good away support for a Monday night.

It was hard to judge in Belfield as the crowd was so quiet for the 90 minutes but maybe 150 of the crowd was from Derry.

Any risk of Derry fans buying them? How many have you been given ?

DCWA
10/03/2023, 1:39 AM
Derry fans have been buying them as I know of some personally. Away ticket section was password protected but Dundalk silly enough to put that password up on their website something which was quickly copped on to.

That password was only put on the website when the tickets went on general sale. With the weather the way it is I’d say a few won’t travel.

The Waterford supporters bus is cancelled for the match in Athlone tonight due to the expected weather and road conditions. We haven't had any snow or even frost down here this week but I know it's different in other parts of the country.

Away allocation of over 1200 has been sold by Pats for Fridays game away to Rovers. 5 allocation sell outs out of 6 games so far this year with the only non sell out being a Monday in Sligo which saw a healthy crowd none the less. Very encouraging stuff considering the performances have been awful all season. It’ll be interesting to see if the crowds keep up after the international break. Personally I wouldn’t be too optimistic of that as I don’t see performances picking up any time soon but even if there’s a drop off I’d imagine they’ll still be levels above crowd numbers of years gone by.

If we lose to Rovers and it's still Clancy in charge after the international break i can't see the crowds keeping up to current levels , however a new manager and a couple of wins could keep interest up.

I think it is high. It was hard to tell being in the middle of the crowd but I’d imagine 120-150 max. Maybe someone from Derry who had a front on view of the crowd would have a better idea.

Block A looked about half full, so 130 would be about right.

Match was sold out, so other tickets holders who bought for that area must have went elsewhere in the ground just.
