Anyone else finding it hard to store up all this ill feeling towards the different countries? I mean not in a nasty way in a competitive type way if ye know what I mean. We've gotta pay back so many countries its not true...

I know, we owe the cheating Swiss a beating too.

And the French for decking Kilbane in the box.

Im living in Basel and I was at most of Swiss games......there is no fücking way you can bring 10,000 supporters in the stadium as you will be only getting 2000 tickets maximum.

What will be interesting is to see if all the Jewish community in Basel support the Swiss where they were all born and bred , live and work or do they start supporting Israel (like they did in the Irish pub on sat night).

Not one of Basels Jewish community arrived in the pub early to support the Swiss team against the faroes but they all arrived at 8.30pm, watched the match in complete silence and walked out on mass following the final whistle.

Nice!!!!!!

Really?

In Basel in the 3th of September there will be 10,000 fans from Israel, and if we will qualify for world cup there willbe between 10 to 25,000 Israely and jews there.

Even if we do get 10,000 tickets it's hard to believe that so many people will arrive. Still, if we do the unbelievable and qualify to the World Cup we will bring more than that.

Regarding the jewish support, it is nice to know they support us but i will tottaly understand it if they would support the Swiss. I know I would if I lived there.

Just like to say to our "Belgian" correspondent, Gerrit, that's how people, and others like him feel when the team representing their country don't win. They tend to become a bit er, annoyed. It's not because the players on the team merely "represent a sports office in Dublin", it's because they represent his country. If you were a real Belgian, you'd feel the same way when the Belgian national team get a similiar result. It's not quite the same feeling when "Norway" screw up, is it? Blood is thicker than water.

PS: Those posters with long memories will understand why I posted that.
