Crumlin 0 - 5 Dundalk
That young u-19 player for us, Ubaezuono ,is going to be a star! Quality all evening and was delighted he got MOTM.
Dundalk hosed up as expected and could have scored more.
Worrying ankle injury picked up by Benson, hearing he could be out for 2/3 matches.

Yes, RTE are showing it. They're also showing the reverse (league) fixture the following Friday in Turner's Cross.

Two teams playing expansive, passing football. In front of of a colourful, festive crowd. It should be a great match between two friendly clubs.

1-0 Cork.Maguire is a class striker.
No direct buses to Tallaght tonight by the look of the crowd.

3-0. Superb stuff from Cork so far. Three quality goals. Long way back for Rovers now. Don't see it happening.

We need to slow down, Bradley might learn a lesson from this ahead of our game next week!
Two loud choruses of "**** the FAI" so far. John Boy will not be pleased.
Ha - now " John Delaney, you should be in jail" :D
Definite fines on the way I'd say.

UCD 0-0 UCD Reserves B
Decent enough game. We hit the post; Dundalk have had about four penalty calls, of which I'm sure they really should have gotten one, but not sure which.
One of their players I've never heard of got injured and has been replaced by Horgan. So bad tactic on our part there

That's just the half time score of course!
That's just the half time score of course!
Hope ye knock them out., and Wexford hold on against Derry. Would like to get either team in the semi, assuming we beat Cobh (tempts fate!!!!)
By the way, what's the story with Rovers management ? Is it a complete fiction with Ristila being brought in ? Bradley still looks as if he's in charge. Bit of a nonsense if the rules can be circumvented like that. Don't get me wrong doesn't bother me, but what's the point of a rule if it's not enforced ?
By the way (2). George Hamilton talking nonsense - nothing like this in the modern era for Rovers ? Just off the top of my head, I've seen Pats beat them 5-0 and 5-1.

It would appear that RTE is the least of Shams problems.

McEleney on now.
Anyone would think Dundalk really don't fancy a replay.

5-0 like what's going on there. Terrible internet on the train means my only source is livescore. Was able to watch afew minutes on the rte player earlier. Even the most optimistic cork fan couldn't of dreamed of this

Cork have been as good going forward as Shams have been bad defensively

Enjoyable game in Belfield. I was impressed with UCD, their centre half (Kuogun ?) was my man of the match. Outstanding game from him. I liked Sloggett as well, reminded me of Paul Corry.
McEleney coming on changed the game for Dundalk. UCD couldn't get to grips with him at all.
As for Tomney. Deary me.

Loads of quality and potential in that UCD side.
Maxi Kouogun was good at centre half, Greg Sloggett (brilliant name for a holding midfielder) also impressed, but I though Gary O'Neill was the pick of a very good team.
Would ye take Kilduff as a swap?

I was thinking that alright. Sacrificing the cup to make out ye are rubbish and then catch us out and take the 3 points next week. Genius

Fair play to cork, they took their goals well. 2nd goal was a peach. best team we'be played this year, and would be my favourites to do the double this year
This game was probably the end of Bradley's ambitious 3 at the back experiment. the entire back 5 are a mess.
cup games really dont attract the crowds anymore it seems.
There are those that believe that John Delaney should be in jail. I'm couldnt possible comment on whether i believe thats true or not:dunno:

I devastated about the result in Tallaght tonight. I had really hoped to draw an easy opponent in the cup semis.

I doubt he will change, maybe against Cork and dundalk but any other team in the league we can make it work.
Having miele and Shaw back from injury would help

considering you struggled past a team from the division below you, I'd say the other teams in the hat are fancying their chances

Maybe other teams will fancy getting Dundalk in the semi's, but my preference would certainly have been to get Rovers. There is always a great satisfaction in beating the Hoops. Roll on Tuesday week for the league match in Oriel

You do realise Dundalk started with 11 changes from the league win over Sligo on Tuesday?

Why was your match played at 4pm today? It wasn't on tv? You got the first part of the scoreline right! sounded a decent effort by Cobh with a 3-2 result for Pats.

Credit to the Rovers fans for the great support they gave their side even when 5-0 down, singing until the final whistle.

Don't know what to think after our game, kamikaze defending for Pat's 3rd and we were looking at a hiding. Proud of the second half effort, would have been some feat to get it back to 3-3. Good luck to Pat's in the semi finals

Ramblers have the ingredients for a serious promotion push next season. Just look at the goal scorers yesterday, 2 smashing players. If you can hold onto Ellis on loan from us next season it would be a huge advantage.

Definitely agree, is there a reason they didn't do it this year, or at least get a play off position?

Probably lack of experience really, bar Kevin Mulcahy and Shane O'Connor the rest are only a year or two out of under 19s plus our record against the teams above us is not good. Another year under their belt will do them the world of good.

I might make Cork favourites. The cup might have slipped down Dundalks list of priorities. Whatever about that, we are rightly 4th in the betting. After a solid enough first half yesterday we almost threw it away. Fair play to Cobh, and to their travelling support who were very vocal.
I would say the FAI Cup will be Dundalk's 3rd priority. It would be still nice to retain it, but we are in Russia a few days before the final, so even if we get past the semi final, its going to take a huge effort.
