Yeah, draw made but kick off time not confirmed. Hopefully away fans are taken into account in planning K.O. time.

When the draw was made for the Semi-finals it's said that the Final would be on Setanta (Eir) on September 17th. I assume we are waiting on Eir for a kick off time. 6:30 won't clash with any big game in the English premier league and would allow Pats fans to travel down and be home at a respectable time. It's the time our fans have got used to also so would help with the attendance. Probably be set for 2pm.

Everton vs Middlesbrough on at half 5, should be ok for a 6/6:30 kick off

Limerick are bound to be more up for this than St Pats. Serious chance to do something incredible to capture hearts and minds in the city.

Think it was 5.30 when we were down in Dundalk too. I guess it gives them time to wrap up before their English football highlights, which are on around eight I think.

Don't know why you would think that. A trophy is a trophy. Chance for Pats to continue a run of a trophy every year for the last three seasons. I think we'll be up for it. Limerick should have a great support, which will obviously be in their favour. Should be a god game anyway. Both managers favour expressive passing football. (God, that sounded worryingly like Fran Gavin!)

Ya 5:30 was confirmed and tickets not on sale yet. I'd be hopefully they put them on sale for the next couple of home games.

By your information I presume they have agreed on a capacity for this game so?
or
Is the terrace number still open?
and
Maybe they don't want to publish a limited figure as many will be 'walk up on the day' fans!

Jofspring

From what I heard they managed to get capacity up to the 5,000 mark. They will be keeping turnstiles/main entrance for stand only. Then the two big gates will feed the terrace from either side of the stand. Pats fans then will come in as normal through the away entrance for that stand and I assume the terrace around there.

The stand tickets didn't go on general sale, Season Ticket Holders, Official Supporters Club, Blue Army Loyalty and the FAI have taken them.

Terrace tickets were on sale at the Oman and Waterford games.

General sale on now and as far as I know under 12's are sold out and terrace going very fast.

A lot of fans are going to be really peed off about not getting stand tickets but to a certain extent it is out of the clubs hands. I've a feeling this final may cause a lot of bad will towards the club as much as good will.

Have the stand tickets been distributed yet? No one seems to know when they'll be given to the relevant groups yet.

No, they are still making sure everyone is allocated their tickets before they distribute them. Probably available in the next few days. A lot of season ticket holders were being contacted yesterday about tickets.

That's the away stand behind the goals. Same one the away fans are always in.

Any ill will needs to be directed solely at the door of the ledp and their "Ah shur it'll do" attitude and I hope someone in the club has the balls to point people that way.

Heard myself the capacity is 4200. Which isn't enough.

The clubs biggest problem is going to be people turning up on the night. You could nearly guarantee people will leave it till last minute, float up and be absolutely outraged that they can't get in.

This is Limerick no matter what happened some people were going to have a moan. Its not really even a club event so they don't have much control over it. I suppose its easy for me to say being part of one of the groups getting stand tickets but I don't see what else they could have done with em tbf.

Ya I agree Bluewhitearmy. There have been plenty of opportunities to sign up to OSC (€10) and Blue Army Loyalty (€5) throughout the season and that would have had them sorted. I can understand if you are there most weeks and miss out on the stand and you are a bit annoyed but there isn't anything the club can do about it.

Not sure. The away stand holds 350 afaik. So I'd guess 600-700 between stand and terrace. I assume if more were requested by a certain date they could be sent up.

Will Pats bring 600-700?

Not for a league cup game. Brought about 300 to Galway. I'd imagine this will be similar. 170 booked on a train anyway

Atmosphere beginning to build nicely around Shannonside for Saturday night now. 4,300 tickets all but gone which is great to see so early in the week. Heard Pats are roaring for more tickets too which should add to the occasion.

Not sure but a pats fan reckons they will have around 300-400 travelling. Stand alone holds 360 so between that and terrace they should have had more than enough tickets. Unless a bigger crowd is travelling than expected. It's a final so I assume they were actually entitled to 50% of the tickets if they wanted?

No, that's not how the LC final works (not that it's ever an issue)

They had sold 300+ tickets by half time in the Cobh game which is more than I had expected

So there will be over 5,000+ at this game on Saturday allegedly, but in the FAI & Limerick FC's mind-sets there will be officially 4,200 tickets sold and in attendance............!

It's all about the money!

Where did you get 5000+ allegedly? It was mentioned that it might be 5,000 but was then confirmed as 4,300. Yesterday it was said less than 100 tickets left for sale. The club tried to get the capacity up as high as possible and that's what they got it pushed to.

New turnstiles installed at the away end also.

People have been told as it stands to not arrive to the Markets Field without a ticket already purchased.

Well I have been working in the ground all week and at the event meetings and yes they have learned and it will be nothing like the way it was at Harps.

It's an FAI gig, I saw a picture of the ground the other day, it's like a barrier convention.

Because the melons that "built" it ensured it wasn't capable of hosting big games.

If First Division Champions League Cup Finalists 2016 Limerick FC were getting the gate you can be guaranteed there would be tenners accepted by the fist load.

No Irish club should turn anyone away until it's physically impossible to fit more in. Playoff was a great night off the pitch for the club with a hell of a lot more than 4330 at it.

Big difference between the play off and cup game time wise. The Playoff turnaround between the last match of the season and the game against Harps was only a few days where as the time to organise this has been over a month. The crowd that came for the playoff was completely unexpected and it was hard to turn people away when the time to buy tickets was short.

And how do you determine when this happens? After the first person collapses or do you wait to see if that was a one off or not?

When you have to start letting the children sit down on the grass around the pitch it means you've only another fifteen minutes of cash stiles.

Obviously. :good:
