Always nice to see a club using a commemorative shirt.

Although designing one to match the wee rubber balls on your pitch may be taking it too far.

Not sure I get ye!? But here ye go though...

We're happy with it.

Not bad. Does it have two shades of green?

The pictures aren't great.

i didnt see it myself but think it is either a dark green or black at the top and then green/black stripes towards bottom

Celtic had a similar away kit to that new Bray one, with dark green or black stripes on an all green background. It's quite nice, as is the Galway one, nice touch with the 25 years anniversary to the 1991 cup final. Doesn't seem that long ago, Johnny Glynn with that header, south terrace end. Classic Wrangler top.

No-one there from Drogheda by the look of it.

Drogheda posted pictures of Sean Thornton at the launch yesterday with the League trophy so he must of turned up late or something.

Pleasantly surprised by the Galway kit. Uhlsport release some absolute poxy jerseys, so this one is definitely a classic. Are Shels the only Macron sponsored team then?

He did - FAI told Drogheda the wrong time.

Must say I'm very happy with the standard of our kits this season. The best combination we've had for quite some time.

Wexford aside, across the two divisions, the gear is beautiful.

We play our first away game on Friday yet the club haven't said a word on what or whether we have an away kit. Why can't we do anything right.

Well I'm sure the FAI know what Longford have registered as their away kit (cough) Being away to Wexford means you MAY not have to switch. IT depends on the ref. That said if you are forced to wear your away kit that will lead to interesting times for the reverse fixture as Wexfords away black kit will also clash with your home.

Clubs are meant to have a third kit too in that instance.

Is that new? Because up to last season you only had to register 2 kits. In the event of both home and away kits of the visiting team clashing with the home teams kit then the home team had to change.

How many teams have registered third kits?

Galway only one so far?

we had three registered kits last year.I have no idea for this season though. The only reason we had three was we kept the old away jersey along with the newer away jersey. We only had to wear that third jersey once v Bohs.

I think the difference is between having registered a 3rd kit and publicising it!

Certainly, there has been an expectation that clubs will have access to a third option, but whether it's a requirement or not I don't know.

Well I know it certainly wasn't a requirement up to and including 2014. An expectation is one thing but the reality is very different. Its not like a club will sell an extra 1000 jerseys by introducing a third kit and for a lot of clubs a third kit is superfluous but you would think each club would look at the colours of their opponents in their division and then look at their own colours and if needed invest in 1 set of third shirts if needed but they generally dont.

We launched our new away kit last night by running out the tunnel for our first league game. Why the club can't do a proper kit launch I don't know.

The yellow shirt?

I can understand why they'd want to keep that one quiet.

I thought our away kit was alright myself. We've had worse. The only thing I didn't like about it was the number style on the back. Very Sunday League style font about it.

The best part of our kit however is the keeper jersey. It's quality.

It does look a lot better with the shorts. I saw a picture on its own and it looked very very plain.

Jesus I don't know that keeper jersey is very controversial. Maybe a throw back to the glory days of little Mayo?

Sure there's no info on whether fans can buy the new kit (version 2.0) at the game on Friday or if it's exchanges only for those who bought the macron kit launched over Xmas. We really need a press officer but alas.

Or maybe the kit supplier could do some promotion? The more shirts sold etc... But yeah for a premier club the merchandising side isn't good.

I think that the white text is way too small

They should also include an additional tag line - may "up ya boy" or something else deep and meaningful

I was shocked to find out this was only their second MSC win. I'm annoyed at our recent run in the MSC, I understand that its not our biggest priority but we should be winning this every few years. Our last win was in 2008. Though we do have 16 total including something 9 in a row at one point and 14 from 16 between 1990 and 2005.
EDIT: No wonder I was surprised to see this was their second win. Its their fifth. First since we've been around though.

It should just say MUNSTER CHAMPIONS, if they insist on having one.

Being any more specific makes it look like Mick Wallace's nonsense with the stars.

May be off topic, but

No wonder I was surprised to see this was their second win. Its their fifth.
I can only find three previous:
1924-25 Cove Ramblers bt Cork City
1943-44 Cobh Ramblers bt Coastal Defence
1982-83 Cobh Ramblers 5-1 Clonmel Town (03 Oct, TC)

But 12 Finals appearances (yeah, I know 78/9 wasn't played, so no "appearance" - but in the list OK!!)
1934-35 Cobh Ramblers 1-2 Waterford (12 May, TC)
1936-37 Cork 3-1 Cobh Ramblers (04 Apr, MC)
1965-66 Waterford 4-1 Cobh Ramblers (01 May, Kilcohan Pk)
1978-79 Final: Cobh Ramblers v Limerick - not played, dispute over venue
1983-84 Cobh Ramblers 0-1 Limerick City (31 Oct, St Colmans Pk)
1984-85 Limerick City 1-1 Cobh Ramblers (29 Oct, Rathbane)
Replay (01 Jan, St Colmans Pk): Cobh Ramblers 2-2 Limerick City (Limerick win pens)
1987-88 Cork City Cobh Ramblers
1993-94 Cork City Cobh Ramblers
1999-00 Cork City Cobh Ramblers
2005-06 Limerick FC Cobh Ramblers
2007-08 Cork City Cobh Ramblers

Would be happy to get more details from anyone on any of these ...
