Good luck to the lads tonight, gonna be a tough evening for sure against a very strong Limerick but I d still be optimistic. Colin Smyth from Avenue will surely start, for me he is the best player in the county at present.....any lads going to the game might keep us updated here on foot as I m stuck in work for the evening. Cheers

Prediction for OT game tonight, my heart says 1-1 but my head says 3-0 Limericks strike force will probably be the 2 recently capped junior Internationals Alan Barry and Shane Clarke and both are very good.

Limerick 2-0 up at half time, not at the game but supposedly it could be more. Can't see Clare getting back into it TBH, but there's no shame in that, Limerick have some of the best junior players in the country a lot of ex LOI players and players who would be well capable of playing LOI.

Finished 2-0. Anyone any idea of what the team was and who was best for Clare?

Mulready , o Grady , docca , Daniels, Ritchie Fitz, croc ,Kelly , glynn, smith, o brien, brigdale .. Subs used Daithi , Reidy , Boyle ,. Limk dominated most of this game Clare played some ok football in spells. But one would feel limk never got out of 3rd gear..best for Clare - docca ,croc, glynn, and Reidy .. You'd wonder how o brien started instead of Reidy ..

on the Oscars the other night.. that must have been on of the weakest Clare sides ever to come out of league.... first half limerick owned, in the second half clare settled a bit better but only because limerick let them. major questions at the selection that was picked.

It was a brave selection with so many young lads. I think they could have played a few lads with experience , like Darren cullinan , nabs or Packie Darcy, if I'm right only Eoin glynn has played OT before. That was as a sub last year.. I think it could have been a lot worse if limk had got out of third gear ..is it true o brien hasn't played for Rhine rovers this year but started in front of others..

Mountshannon keep up there impressive start to the season, only Newmarket have taken points off them, and that was a draw down in Newmarket, looks like burren are struggling without there GAA contingent, but I expect them to push on to safety once they get a settled eleven back.

How have Mountshannon improved so much this year? Have they signed many players? They were poor last year and its a big surprise to see them flying in the League. Fair play to them and looking at the league table it looks like it will be a tighter league than previous years.

I pressume they just have an influx of new players coming through .. Not sure what their underage setup is like but something's working out there. Fair play to them it's great to see

Mountshannon havnt done anything at youths level in the last 6or7 years at least, dont think they field too many schoolboys sides either.

Great result for bridge utd today....fair play to them. It looks like the drop down a division has been great for them to get their young players gain experience. Darren Murphy, Darragh fitz and John Mulready are 3 excellent young players

bridge lost 1 nil, by all accounts they gave a great showing in the second half but just couldnt get the goal they needed. John Mulready was supposed to have made 4 or 5 worldclass saves aswell though, not surprised by that as he is a very good goalkeeper. wins for tulla, avenue and newmarket today in the league. any reports from tulla or newmarket?

Bridge deserved extra-time anyway. TEK absolutely blessed to get out of there without conceding. TEK had a good chance to go 2 up early in 2nd half with a one-on-one but it was well saved. Bridge well on top after that and missed 2 or 3 golden opportunities to equalise

Got 2 goals from corners early on. Mountshannon tried to play but the pitch was terrible. Tage used it to their advantage n defender for mountshannon ****ed up for 3rd. Early goal 2nd half killed any revival.

can anyone on this site reveal how the referee came to the conclusion that 2 players that decide to fight in the middle of a match (Where the game had to be stopped) and issue them both with a yellow card? witnessed this at the bridge utd v doughlas hall game in NOF.. a headbutt was followed by a headlock and punches from both players on the same team. one would think that this surely has to be a red card for both players, such in the incident in newcastle where lee bowyer and kieron dyer. and the officials were from clare aswell. so not only did doughlas hall have 11 players on the field, but one of the players scored the winning goal in extra time. are they any committee members on this that give a reason for this? or maybe help the case of the referee? and try to argue the case on behalf of the league that it is not subsequently below par in terms of rerfeeing.
