Dundalk players were today paid deferred wages from May. Wages up to date now.
Good news that all the fundraising efforts are paying off.

Who do you think PFAIofficial is?
Well i thought it was Stephen McGuinness and hadn't heard anything about a change in that role so i was merely guessing it was him who was still representing the PFAI .... from your post, can i now surmise that this has since changed? Nothing on www.pfai.ie (http://www.pfai.ie) to suggest otherwise.
I think what Dodge was pointing out in his usual constructive manner is that the person who posted that tweet is Stephen McGuinness. That is Stephen McGuinness = @PFAIOfficial

That is actually great value, €25 for that line is as good as you'll get anywhere.

Gavin McLaughlin @McLaughlinGavin
Former @DundalkFC manager Sean McCaffrey is believed to be involved in a consortium interested in taking over the club. #saveourclub #loi

Oh Jesus... Usually I would laugh at something like that, but I would be seriously worried to have him near the club. Not cut out for club management and I doubt very much he has the temperament for running a club either.

"Following discussions held in Oriel Park on Friday morning between Dundalk FC, representatives of a local consortium and the Dundalk FC Community Trust – an agreement in principle has been reached on the transfer of ownership of Dundalk Football Club.
While there are a number of legal issues that need to be finalised, all parties are now confident that all the major obstacles have been successfully negotiated.
Consortium representative Ciaran Bond stated: “Our immediate plan is to stabilise the club’s finances. This will be achieved through a three-year sponsorship package that will be factored around current sponsorship frameworks. The due-diligence process has revealed that the financial situation at the club is much more serious than anticipated.”
“The successful conclusion to these negotiations, while bringing stability to the club, does not solve all the club’s problems. We have already this morning addressed a very serious creditor that demanded immediate attention. A major concerted effort will be required between now and the end of the season”.
The consortium and the Trust have been working closely together in recent weeks to put in place a long-term plan to safeguard the club’s future. Trust representative Colm Murphy stated: “The Dundalk FC Community Trust is now working with the consortium to put together a short and long-term plan to secure a sustainable future for the club. Both the Trust and the Consortium are working towards implementing a supporter-orientated community owned model that we believe we will bring both short-term stability and long-term growth to Dundalk FC.
“The next few months will be very busy as we seek support from supporters and the community so that we can put the club on a firm footing. Upcoming matches and fundraisers are hugely important and we encourage everybody to give their support to these events”.
Current Dundalk FC Owner Gerry Matthews stated: “This deal will save the club as it was likely that the club would have closed if agreement had not been reached. This will bring stability to Dundalk FC and I wish everybody who will bring the football club forward every success. I support them 100% in their endeavours”.

Revenue now to date, 37k went to the FAI last week, wages all paid up, so bumpy it may be but not as catastrophic as it might have been. McLoughlin transfer and Chelsea friendly covered immediate shortfall. Fastfix cash injection and fundraisers see us to seasons end. Everton friendly to come and improved confidence in the community now the the GM concerns are gone so improvements all round. Trust can look over the shoulder of new investors to prevent a reoccurance of the last 2 years. A few important details are not clear in particular the YDC's future.

I thought the same thing, as Nesta says the YDC is going to be tough to resolve, though as long as the process doesn't break down then at least the club will survive. But again, where has the website gone?

They website may have crashed with the additonal traffic or it is simply offline while being updated, i wouldnt be too concerned about that. Maybe they are digging out the old fastfix logos..

And so it begins, the next catastrophe in waiting. Dundalk eats itself again. Bullitt, you know as well as anyone that there was a whole heap of a mess last year (and this) and some really devious carry on from GM and PJ, he called it right and is trusted by the group coming in to take over. I've no allegiance or like of the man but he is far, far better than what is there.

He called nothing right Spud. His posts on Orielweb where awful, cringeworthy piles of shoite.Divide and conquer was his aim and he done some hatchet job there but he didnt do it in a fair or honest way.
I hope that now, as i am now a new paid up voting member of the club that i can help bring him down.If you are a member you can of course vote for him ;)

Jesus Bullitt, at least give it the requisite 12 months before the next Dundalk Civil War!!! :-) I can't comment on his posts on OW, only what I heard back from members and on radio. I'd give him a chance and with a strong supporters trust then at least controls can be in place. Plus the main men are Mr. C and Paul.

to be honest lads I think Bullit has a point. Last years takeover debacle damaged the club significantly in the standing of townspeople. GM is just as guilty of this as Ciaran Bond and fastfix, thats why it was pivotal this time around that nothing got leaked and no mud slinging match ups on LM FleM.
My approach to the takeover is that the Fastfix consortium intentions are honest hopefully for the betterment of the club. With the trust on board too the onus is on the supporters to sign up for memebership because we all will have a say and grant the trust are more powerful mandate to keep these guys in check and ensure we never approach this juncture again.
We cant rely on one person or a group of individuals anymore to keep us running. Supporters need to step up and take ownership of our own club

Agreed, his hard work only begins now, and the odds of him making it, (and any player heading across at that age) is still quite long.

On the night, it was confirmed that the Season Ticket sales for 2013 total = 574.
574 is included in the club’s attendances figures irrespective of if all Season Ticket holders attend the game, Bond stating that this was due to FAI protocol.
“When you sell more Season Tickets, you expect your gate income to be reduced, but the opposite has happened,
“While we don’t have a massive budget probably in comparison to the top 3-4 teams, or even 5 teams, in this league, we have spent an awful of money outside that people might not see.
“For instance, we have Graham Byrne here who is getting paid. He’s a full-time Strength & Conditioning Coach with the club, and you can see it in the fitness levels of the players.
