Any indication as to its seriousness? I presume he'll be out for Wednesday now. What a shame; was really looking forward to seeing him make his senior debut.

A hamstring injury. Hughton says he'll be pulling out of Wednesday. Balls.

He also tweeted his shoe rack collapsed under the sheer weight of shoes you can buy on a footballer's salary.

But then if you will buy your shoe rack for the pound shop what else do you expect?!

Interesting choice of shoe rack, no more than £5.99 from Argos Im guessing.......................Surely shoes like that deserve to rest on better?

Pilkington came on today in 86min against Stoke.... Possible he'd be available for England and Georgia matches before missing Faroes and Spain games due to his impending nuptials?

I'd forgotten about him, looks like he will available for Norwich's remaining matches.
I just checked and he came on in in the 89th minute in their previous match V Reading.
Norwich need to pick up a few more points to feel safe.

Supposedly Pulis is interested in signing Pilkington, however the same article admits Pulis could be on the way out at Stoke. Why write these articles? It also mentions Leed and Stoke may be interested in Noel Hunt, although that's probably crap as well. The reason I posted this article is because it contains more factual information on Daryl Murphy, Brian Murphy and Stephen Elliott.

On YBIG they're saying he's out - citing injuries needing treatment, but most there believe it's cos of the wedding. Anybody got any news here?

The management and physio pulled him out: http://www.thescore.ie/anthony-pilkington-knee-injury-withdraw-ireland-917484-May2013/

On his decision to pull out, Pilkington told reporters:

“The management and the physio have pulled me out – I’ve been struggling with my knee so I need to get treatment through the summer and an extra four games is not going to help me through pre-season.

“I need a rest and I need the treatment that I’m going to be getting through the summer in the off season, so hopefully I can put that behind me and come back pre-season 100% fit. It’s unfortunate these injuries have popped up at the worst times for me. But like I say, I’ve got to put that behind me now, get right for next season and then hopefully see if I can get back in the squad.

“It wouldn’t be right for me to go away and them come back in pre-season struggling. I’ve had to manage the injury (to his patellar tendon) towards the end of the season and because of my knee, I’ve picked up a few hamstring injuries. So I’ll go away in the summer, work hard, get 100% fit and come back flying.”

Part of statement where he said 4 games wouldn't be good for his preseason.....huh? as if he was going to play 4 games... as if, what was that all about??? Dogs in street knew that he was only going to play England game and then leave squad and get married 2 days later...

Charlie Darwin

Well if he's in for one game I'd imagine he's in for them all. I have no doubt that Pilkinton's long term fitness will be aided by having a rest this summer, but I reckon it is also a convenient excuse to avoid confrontation with his wife-to-be. I still don't think Trapattoni has fully forgiven Jon Walters for attending the birth of his own child - such trivialities don't factor into his thinking.
