Bohs and Dundalk apparently to play games against Barcelona Reserves at the end of July. Should be enough Catalan/non -Castillian students around to fill both grounds.

Nothing confirmed on the St Johnstone website (http://www.perthstjohnstonefc.co.uk/newsitemsdetail.php?param=410) as yet, although they are visiting the north.

I wouldn't worry to much MeathDrog about tickets selling out for that one. Somehow I can't see the neutrals rushing out snap up tickets to see a Mickey Mouse Championship club play.:p

The date cannot be confirmed until the draw for the European qualifiers is made on June 23-ish.

No friendly can clash with one of these games.

Basically!

Although they're up on Dundee United and Hamilton's websites, the games aren't confirmed yet due to the FAI not allowing clubs play friendlies on Champions' League nights.

Games should still go ahead, but dates still to be arranged.

Roy Keane is to save Cork City when take Roy Keane's Ispwich (formally known as Ispwich Town F.C) in a friendly. According to the back of the Dailly Star.

It's the same thing he did to save Cobh last year when Roy Keane's Sunderland (now known as Sunderland A.F.C again) took on Ramblers. And look how well that turned out for Cobh!!

Is this just restricted to friendlies? We had a League Cup game clash with a Champions' League semi this year and I'm pretty sure midweek league fixtures have been on Champions' League nights as well.

I think its just friendlies. Not 100% mind

Barca's reserve team play in the Spanish third tier. They've obviously a great tradition of producing players though.

When I was watching them, the first thing that I thought was that we wouldn't be out of place on the same pitch. At all. The second thing was that there was no-one within a mile of making the step up to the first team. There were about 400 at the game, so the city didn't particularly care either (although that's par for the course with B teams really).

That is an impressive list but to be fair we had a guy with us who was playing Third Division football in Spain last season and he was absolute dog doo. It is basically not much more than an amateur league.
