I don't know if you care at all. The Blues are still nil nil and apparently by far the better side so far. Althuogh the last half hour will tell the tale with fitness etc.
They just scored 1 Nil Randers apparently against The run of play. Berg

Crazy stuff at the end there. Delighted Sligs pulled at least one back, have it all to do now away on that excuse for a pitch in albania.... suprised it meets Uefa standards. Very bad result at home.
Jeepers. When Sligo said that summer football doesn't work for them they really meant it.
pretty terrible result. Will be very hard to come back from this. Gutted for them.
Guess they can hope the reserve keeper is gick
Obviously not going to comment on a game I didn't see but they'll be disappointed with the result

Bad result for Sligo and they now need 2 goals over in Albania if they are to stand any chance. Lisburn getting slapped 5 nil.

Match Report for the Sligo game (http://www.extratime.ie/fixtures/detail/11735/2/) - Crazy ending. Should have probably equalized.

just back from the sligo match in internet cafe here in sligo. sligo should have bein ahead at half time boco hit the crossbar. the albanians scored from against the run of play in the second half with a screamer. a defensive mixup made it two nil to themthen sligo get a peno and alan keane hits the bar. sligo then get a second peno albanian goalie gets sent off and creataro scored.
but it was too late. they have a hard task in albania

Not being a *****, but how would you of? What do you know about Albanian football? Nobody knew what to expect, let alone someone who wasn't even at the match.
Did not deserve that. Could and should have won. Awfully disappointing considering the atmosphere which was electric, the amount of fans in the ground and the effort the lads put in up until they scored. Gutted.
Bring on Albania :ball:
Sligo really face an uphill challenge to get through from here. If they wanted to go through they had to not concede a goal and they left in 2. Sadly,i can't see Sligo turning it around even though i would hope they do.

This tie is not over. I saw enough to suggest we can win by two over there. The luck was not with us tonight.
Don't need to win by two. Start by scoring twice and see where it bings you

Yes of course, you're correct......I did mean to say score twice :o......I was just being greedy.....
Not long home. I reckon Sligo blew it. They owned the game in 1st half but apart from Bocos one off the bar they barely troubled the keeper.
Its hard to score when you dont shoot!
Hopefully they turn it around in 2nd leg

Big shock with Motherwell been beat at home by a team of Part-timers some our sides could take heart from this.

From the reports and opinion, there still seems to be some hope of a turn around, I think the players have have been a little rusty after not playing for a week, that could have a factor, the match sharpness was lacking a touch, it maybe back for the next game, as they play on Sunday and this game would have helped a lot aswell.

Could say the same for the other crowd cos I dont tyhink their season kicks off until August

Are Llanelli not full time? Thought TNS and one other Welsh side were fully pro (could be Rhyl)
Obviously an amazing result still though

Yes I think you're right - both Lllanelli and TNS are full-timers. Great result for Llanelli and hopefully they can finish the job next week.
Disappointing with the Sligo result but hopefully they can do themselves justice in the away leg.

Llannelli dropped down to semi-pro status in the seaosn just ended, as they couldn't afford to keep a pro outfit going on Welsh Premier crowds (even though it won them the league the year before).
A very good result for them, and will help push the Welsh league in the coefficients, as they're starting from such a low base.

They are full time, but what a resullt! I'd still expect Motherwell to just about do enough in the second leg though.
Steve, I hadn't heard they'd switched, do you have a link?

How many times?
The points gained for progressing through a round are for individual clubs - which previously could only be obtained from the first round proper of the uefa cup, or group stages of the champions league.
Country co-efficients are still based on the old system of results in matches.
Therefore this result helps Welsh football's co-efficient, and progressing through the round will help Llannelli.
you're 100% right
I was way off...

Given Sligo's result it's very hard to see us match the 2.5 co-efficient the league got last year. However, the figure we lose this year is a 1.333 from the 2004/05 season so if we could achieve that then we shouldn't lose too much ground.
As things stand Northern Ireland have dropped into the bottom six (http://www.xs4all.nl/~kassiesa/bert/uefa/data/method4/crank2010.html), which could mean their champions having to start out in CLQR1 with the likes of San Marino, Malta and Andorra.

I've no sympathy, given their clubs regularly let players go on holiday across Euro games.

Good proper European draw yez got; I'd almost prefer that over Riga or Malta.

Yeah, result.
Five of the goals came in the last few minutes of either half (39, 42, 44, 87, 90).
Winners face Helsinborg featuring Henrik Larsson.
Edit - Gavin Whelan scored Distillery's only goal of the game (in the first leg). Missed that.
