I'm confused, do you mean novels about airports or ones you buy in airports?
One of my favourite books was bought in the airport, The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold but I have never read a good book about an airport so maybe thats where you are going.
I mean those unbearable copy and paste global thrillers by Dean Koontz and James Patterson etc etc

Attacking football apparently. It turns out it was just stupidness (sic) on my part to pretend to like it all along.

Yup. Possibly most overhyped "beauty" of the century so far. Agreeable looking, but not drop-dead-gorgeous.

South Park.
I was harrassed into watching the episode 'Go God, Go!' due to my anti-religion stance, but it was just not funny. At all.

South Park has its moments but it can be sh*te too. The one where the they are taking the p!ss out of Twilight was good though.

Holiday reps. Yes they provide a service and can be useful at times, but the ones Ive come across are a bit too smiley and fake for my liking, plus they always have a service to plug.

The Sarah Silverman Programme.
Such a stupid, retarded show. Has anyone seen the Comedy Central ad for it recently ? I cant beleive people like that show, its a great example of how comedy and tv in general has gone downhill in recent years.

I could swear that people only find her funny because she's a woman doing scatological humour. She's about as funny as Fran Gavin in a press conference.

Well not 'like' so much. There can be a certain glamour of having an affair/being tempted etc.. All I'll say is, I've done it before in a previous relationship but you do realise the guilt takes over, there's the messy fallout and you end up with nothing. Anyway change of topic, stuff you're supposed to like but it is rubbish...
Stephen Fry.
yeah but is the sex good?
It's a it too much info for my liking, but it's good of you to let us know :D

Never saw the appeal of it. I don't need to look at a picture of myself standing in front of some building years ago, thank you very much.

NB not the game of hurling (one of the best in the world) but the championship - a moral bankruptcy of ineptitude

kind of agree, but more to do with Kilkenny's dominance over the last decade that has turned the game into a procession than anything else

Flashmobs. They were genuinely funny at one point but now everyone seems to be doing them in London, and they really feck up your commute. Bunch of attention seekers.

It seems to have become the "done thing" alright. I think that for many it must be the number one way of expressing their individuality and originality and to live "in the minute" is to hear about something happening off the internet a couple of days in advance, get together as a big anonymous group - to avoid possibly prosecution - and to do that thing that they heard their friend was at once, and that they saw in some advert, so that for years to come they can tell people that they were in one once, to outdo their friend, simultaneously while failing to realise that the look on their adherents face means that the listener has considered anyone involved in them after the second one they saw to be a pillock of the first water and are currently making plans to uninvite them to dinner, leaving these types with a shrinking social pool, and redirecting them to more emo/art school/generic tosser types. Social darwinism at its best.
On a side note, you know that have become thoroughly Londonised, when you find that you consider something that interferes with your commute more than once a public menace that someone should do something about, regardless of how much you may have enjoyed it first time out.

Companies like T-Mobile and Cadbury's have used 'flash mobs' for their adverts. When the corporates jump on the bandwagon, it's not fun anymore just cynical.

They have been great to us over the past few weeks. Gave our game against Pats loads of coverage and sent the iteam down to our game to give out stuff before the match. I really enjoy most of their shows. And Fran Kennedy sounds like he is a hottie. Pity cant find a pic of him but sure if he is a male version of Lucy he's got to be cute!

Girlfriends. Just absolute hassle. And then when you finish with them, they do stuff to annoy you?? Nonsense.
The Guinness ad. The 'To Martha' one? Absolute crap and the most overplayed ad in history. Actually seeing as Im watching telly now, Harvey Norman ads in general. Stupid.
Sorry in a bad mood today

Ah, no - this is a list of stuff that you are supposed to live but it rubbish - not quite the same as "stuff I hate". Happy to do that thread but don't want to depress anybody.
The key part of this thread title, is "stuff you are supposed to like...."

It's sh1te too. It's an insult to the IRMA that this song has been number one for over a month.
A few of these to get off one's chest:
Laurel and Hardy (and don't give me your chutney about beign of its time etc)
A Fish Called Wanda
Cocoon (movie)
Star Wars (yes, all 75 of them)
