Hasn't travelled with the squad to Blackburn. Rumours are he has walked out.

Watch this space.

Hasn't been doing a good job lately anyway. Probably has taken them as far as he can.

Just stuck a fiver on him to be the next manager to leave at 8-1. Worth a punt.

Does Keane not still live in Manchester. Will he not meet up with the squad in Blackburn?

Skybet still taking at 4-1. I don't think its true at this stage, seems to be a
case of chinese whispers. Century Radio reported it. Setanta always trying to
get oneupmanship on Sky Sports (SSN>>>SSN by the way), just ran
with the story.

They've taken it down since. No smoke without fire but I still doubt he'd of
walked out. He may of had an argument with the board, and he's probably
deep in discussion with Mother Ter... Niall Quinn right now.

Keane has NOT walked (http://www.sunderlandecho.com/sport/Keane-has-NOT-walked.4696388.jp)

It's still worth watching. Things obviously aren't going too smoothly. Rumour has it the new Yank investor/owner was relaying complaints he was hearing from the players which Roy took exception to. His odds on being the next manager to leave were backed in from 14/1 to 8/1 to 4/1 then suspended.

Don't think the complaints were from players but someone else with an axe to grind:D

Apparently Keane was told he had two weeks to sort out "the first team issues". That could all be untrue, but if it has truth in it I couldn't see a man of Roy's temperament putting up with it for too long!.

He doesnt travel on the Sunderland team bus to most away games. Storm in a teacup story. A win on Saturday and he shoots up 8 places or something stupid like that...

From "the Messiah" purportedly leaving the mighty Sunderland to the habits of a cat having a dump, all in the space of a few posts  I think there is a subliminal message there though someplace ;)

I can't see Keane being in a job much longer. Dire first half performance from Sunderland. Lost the dressing room written all over this one. Malbranque, Chimbonda not interested. Not beyond the bounds that Kinnear could end up as manager of Sunderland if Keane sees out the season. If Keane is sacked/walks in the near future then "Big Sam" will be one of the favs.

Pity you didnt put more money on it!!!!! Looks a shoe in to walk away. He'll do well to get another job in Endland if he does head away. Too much money on not bad players but ones with serious attitude problems.

He has bought a lot of "troubled" players. I believe Sunderland half owned by US consortium so possibly not as blinkered as Irish owners.

Red&White Rover

He buys players for way too much, gives them huge wages, finds out their ****e, tries to sell them, can't because they're quite cushy earning a good few bob that they won't get elsewhere.
Hence why he's got near on 50 first teamers.

Very over-rated IMO.

Sunderland AFC are 89.95 owned by Drumaville. Originally this was the vehicle used by the Irish developers and publicans to buy the club.

They exited ownership of Drumaville in September but they deny it even today. They will only admit that Ellis Short purchased 30%, the shareholding of Paddy Kelly and Sean Mulryan

Drumaville is now controlled by US based venture capitalist Short and Per Magnus Andersson

Keane is a bad manager. His selections are erratic and inconsistent. His buys are even worse. He treats players like live stock. How does he expect any man to play for him. He will jump before he is pushed because I don't think Quinn and Co have the balls to sack him. He will vanish into football obscurity. My only fear is that when Trap ends his time with Ireland he will be rolled out as the next messiah.

imagine if keane resigned - sunderland shirt sales would be down in cork the rest of ireland, and they would all go back supporting united or possibly go to the blue half of manchester and support the other cork man who refuses to play for his country, maybe keane will take will take up a role with the cork county board as chief negiotator in the stand off with the hurlers. Find out what paddy power will give you on that , he's managed that team like as if he was playing championship manager on his pc.

Ferguson started management in '74 and it took 3 years of management before he won the old scottish first division with St Mirren, it was then a further 3 years before he won his next silverware in 1980, a league title with Aberdeen. (courtesy of wiki)

I only use this example as much of the media spec has Keane as a Ferguson of his era or a Fergie replacement to be. It doesnt happen overnight, it takes time to bed yourself in as a manager.

Lets face it, love him or loathe him, hes still very new to this managerial malarky and I imagine Quinn and co are happy to give him the time that Fergie got at Man U back in the late 80's

There are very few managers, if any ,that have been a total sucess in their very first job.Yes Keane has spent alot of money but he has taken Sunderland a long way since the day he took over, his first year in the Championship in particular was excellent. He has made alot of mistakes but show me a manager that hasnt. He will probably leave Sunderland one way or another soon but I still expect him to be a top manager as he gains experience

Keano will come good. He is a winner. Doesnt know how to fail. The only thing that will make him leave is family commitments.

This guy spends 80 million plus, mostly on sub standard players, eg Chimbonda, Yorke,Harte, Chopra, Tainio, Malbranque, Cisse, Diouf , McShane, Stokes, O Donovan etc. I have more than likely forgotten the rest, there has been so much money wasted. Then you lot say give him a chance! How many of you will be following Sunderland after he either jumps ship(again) or he is pushed?
Get off the stage!

I am a big fan of "Our Roy" - but the facts are he bought some ridiculous players for huge fees and gives them high wages for doing diddly squat - I mean Kieran Richardson -

Do the lads on loan have any future there? How about Reid, Miller and Murphy who in truth was a Keane favourite.

Oh and David Connolly. I keep forgetting he still exists.

What do you mean by gone? Gone where? If he has quit where is your source?

Sad to see him go, wonder whats gonna happen all the new age Ireland supporters now. Not sure Keane is upto the managerial game unfortunately. Hard to see what job he'd go to next.
