The club should be trying to sign the best junior footballers in this town not the average ones, and until they do, they will stay in Div 1.
bottom line, if they have asked him to sign and he has said no he obviously doesn't want to step up to senior football at the moment. no point in begging players to sign and chasing certain players if they aren't interested. time can't be wasted. right now limerick need players that want to play for the club and if this means average players at the moment then so be it. this season is over for limerick cup wise and they won't make top 3 in the league, a strong or mid table finish is all thats wanted at the moment. also the eircom league transfer window is open so i'm sure they are looking at one or two players there.
If thats what the club want for now then fine, but to progress further they need the best 4/6 junior footballers in town, plus the best 8/10 players they have, on top of 3/4 decent EL signings.

as often as I can, but not for a month or so now. why do you ask?
would be nice to be able to sign players like that but at the moment i don't think the club is in that position. if in time the club gets itself in a position to sign those types of players and they don't then they'll have some questions to answer but for the time being i'd personally prefer the club to be stable more than anything.
