as is usual in this forum ,some people seem to get their info from the Dailly Sport. it would be in everyones interest to get your facts correct before posting. Castlebar deserve to be wished well , but your reasons leave a lot to be desired in a sporting context.

i was up in redcastle a couple of weeks ago with pike and have to say they were some of the best people i have ever come across.they could,nt do enough for us either the night before or after the game.on the other hand we have been to carrick on 3 occassions in the last 5 years and every time there has been an unsavioury incident.and as for their supporters been heckled ,the one time we did win in carrick our supporters and players were pushed and shoved off of the pitch at the finish it was an experience i will never forget.and correct me if im wrong but a couple of clubs have not returned from carrick with very good reports

My comments were not about the Carrick football team. They played well on the day and deserved to win.It would be the management and committee members whom i would not be impressed with.
As for the Daily Star.I do not buy trash newspapers.

health and safety reasons? they wanted back early for a drinking session!!as late as they were they went to the pub anyway.About the refresments laid on by Redcastle,a decision was made by everyone before they went if they wont change the ko time let them think we will stay and then they can stick their sandwiches up their you know what ...Fact!

just another word on Carrick Utd, look at the supporters going to the games the same crowd every time they dont have the full support of the whole town and there are a couple of reasons for this but the main one is the way they think they are above everyone"the Elite" as they are known in Carrick seem to have forgotten where they came from and the hard work done by people to get them where they are today,i would like to see them win the cup but a Lot of people in Carrick would love to see them fall flat on their faces..

As long as im livin in Carrick, ive never heard Carrick United been referred to as the Elite. And we will see what the people of the town think when Carrick play Castlebar. I can gaurantee you Ozier park will be Rocking. And another thing when Carrick played Fairview a few years back, was the RSC packed or not, probably one of the biggest crowds it has ever seen.

and carrick were well and truely stuffed that night, crowds do,nt win you trophies.and that was by a view team that finished well down the limerick league that year and won nothing domestically.also carrick have this thing about their support being this and that ,well from my experience this has only worked on that small field ye have down in carrick when referees s..t themselves .

    advice

just a quick word of advice to castlebar,if ye score the 1st goal ye will win cos carrick will lose the plot and think the whole world is against them.once they are taken out of their home patch they turn into mice when things go against them.i know the game is on in waterford but most waterford people will want them to lose cos they think they are superstars down there

fair point but discipline has cost carrick so many times when there was no need for it to.

that was an excellent fairview team, their league position was not great but balla won the league that year unbeaten. id nearly go as far as to say that every player that started that day has been capped for the irish junior team apart from martin neary and trevor higgins
