Killester are more than capable of mixing it physically if necessary. Have no fear of that, they are very very tough boys, Coolock and Finglas heads for the most part. Will not be found wanting if it turns into a scrap!
C'mon TF - you’re not living up to your tag – what has realism got to do with being a fan. Seriously though I agree you wouldn’t be putting anyone’s house - let alone your own - on Town winning on Sunday (especially if you’d seen the way their defence struggled with the might of the Old Bridge’s ‘electric’ attack last Sunday) but there is a lot to be said for home advantage especially considering how long it took Killester to break down what I think was a weaker defence last year on their patch.
I think the comments about ‘Town kicking anyone up & down the pitch may be in part based on a certain central defender who played last year but has since left the club (no comment). Having said that there’s nothing wrong with getting ‘stuck in’ which will be required. Just a comment on the Complex – would it not be a fairly simple job and in my opinion worthwhile to put up a temporary rope / fence around the inside of the running track to allow supporters get in a bit closer to the pitch – not since the ‘Glory Year’ of ’94 has there been any real atmosphere for ‘Town’s home games. Every bit helps!
Reporter to Gordon Strachan: gordon, what's your impression of jermaine pennant? Reply: I don't do impressions!!
I am just being realistic, our defence is not strong enough to win the FAI but this is cup football and who knows what will happen.
I was listening to Tipp FM on Monday night and Town's PRO Maurice Walsh was on it, personally I don't like the man after his f**k up last year with the MJC amongest other things ( for which he should have resigned) but he is an excellent radio analyst and he did make a very good point about last season. Town after not having played well got within 5 minutes of Killester. Also he did say and it is true that people have written off Town but they forget their record at home and against Dublin teams. He finished by saying he was upset at people writing Town off and that if Killester aren't at the top of their game, that Town will beat them, people forget that Town are a good side.
As I say, Walsh isn't a good PRO but he is excellent on the radio not just with Soccer, just wish he would stick to that and let sombody else take over his role in the club
Best wishes to Castlebar Celtic on Sunday afternoon, it should be a cracker of a game id urge all players and supporters of other Mayo League Teams to get up to Celtic and voice your support, this is a Mayo team in an All Ireland quater final and im sure they will do this county proud...C'mon the Celts....

You are either pro or amateur, there is no in between!
best of luck to saints and town sunday. hopefully we will have 2 tsdl sides in the last 4
if it wasnt for birds and booze id have played for ireland juniors!!!!!
Best of Luck to Celtic and Clonmel.
Well done Castlebar Celtic great result. it would be great to see Castlebar v Killester final.
FAI Junior Draw
Killester v Corduff-Haddon Park
Castlebar v Carrick-not sure whos at home
Great result for Killester, scrappy game, wind was strong across the pitch. Killester were the better side, Clonmel had a good spell in the second half but couldnt hit the side of barn.
The best team went through.
Second goal for Killester broke the Clonmel spirit and that was that.
Andy Fitz had a great game:-)

when are the semis on ?
the venues will be local but not "home". is this correct ..
Accurate enough. The Town defence just could not cope with the pace of the Killester front two who are about the best centre forward pairing to play in Clonmel in recent years. Town did have a great second half and at times caused panic in a shaky looking defence. I thought the game deserved extra time because of the honesty of effort from both sides. Three yellow cards; one for handball that led to the penalty in second minute, the other two for mistimed but not malicious tackles.
I understand that one of Killester's centre halves was on a stag and that may go some way to explain their at times shaky defence; Clonmel's defence was shaky all the bloody time.
Good cup tie; better team won; could have been so different if Clonmel had scored during their purple patch in second half.
Not even Carrick can beat this Killester team and I wish them luck. It will make for a great final if its Killester and Carrick. Probably the two best junior sides around.
