I often remember hearing kids in shops asking for "Tayhoes" (I come from the South-East, don'cha know), and, on being asked what flavour, the response was occasionally "King, please!"
That question was less stupid, though you asked it in a profoundly stupid way.

Help me, Arthur Murphy, you're my only hope!

Hate me aswell. Call everything Tayto.
It makes as much sense as calling everything crisps (Cheetos etc are not crisps) or potato snacks (Chickatees are made fro corn).
Possibly because the Tayto company make a lot of them but partly in memory of when they used make nice crisps, snacks, tayto whatever you want to call them.
City definetly have the best bands playing at half-time.

I can just visualise a Dub innocently asking for a pack of King in some god forsaken sink hole and being run out of town with an angry mob in pursuit, with pitch forks and lit torches, as banjo's dual in the background.

    What, EVERYTHING?

    Like cars or photocopiers?

That must make daily conversations rather difficult.

Me: What did you do at the weekend Risteard?

Risteard: Well, I went to the Tayto for a quick tayto on the Taytoday, and on Taytoday, I hooked up with me Tayto, and I gave her a fierce Taytoing in the Tayto. It was well tayto, boy.

    Nice one.

Tayto for me. I used to love the Spring Onion Taytos (in the green packets). Anyone remember them? They were the business.
