Ok for all of you wanting to see the "real" Cup final.
UCD take on Raheny in Belfield at 7:15 ( I think) on Wednesday October 25th 2006 in the W.F.A.I. Senior Cup Quarter-final.

think some of you undersetimate Wilton, they have trained all summer long and are very fit, they are after winning the league and two cups in Cork. They were un beatable this year. Cork League barely scraped by Peamount and will have a tough game v Lifford!!! Any confirmation of UCD v Raheny, that will be a good one, as will all games. Any other games on before the play by date?

I take a good Wilton team to beat the Mayo League.
The Limerick League team had a bad day at the office in the last round. They were missing their goalkeeper (first 3 choices were not available for selection) and a contingent from Mungret Regional who were having a ball in Brussels at the time.
One of the Mayo forwards scored 6 goals in a 7 nil victory. OK she may be a good player but she won't be given the freedom of the pitch like she was given in Hogan Park.

Wilton defenders will handle her, eventhough she is quick the Wilton defenders are very stong and solid, it will be difficult to get past them. What about Galway and Benfica. not much being said about them. Galway to win anyway I say.

it is the mayo defenders that have to be on guard with wilton they have won league and cup in cork.mayo are a bunch of players that only play together a few times a year so will not be as good as corks wilton that play week in week out and know each other very well. mayo are the away team will not know the pitch will have to stay away from their own beds on saturday and rush back for college on sunday night.the big match is ucd and raheny on wednesday 25th winner will go a long way in irish cup.

    Dublin in the Final!!!!!!

Dont think it will be as easy for a Dublin team to get to the final as people might think. The game Raheny v UCD will be a good one but the semi's will see the cream rise to the top, COME ON THE CULCHIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Womens Senior Challenge Cup ( WFAI)

The final will be held in Lansdowne Road at 1 p.m. on the first Sunday in December. It is a curtain raiser for the F.A.I. Senior Challenge Cup Final to be held on the same day.

The winners of the W.F.A.I. Senior Challenge Cup, this year , will have earned the right to represent Ireland in the Women's UEFA Cup next autumn. The expense of this venture is €30,000 approx for teams entering. There is a small amount of grant aid available from the F.A.I. but a lot of fund raising will need to happen between now and then.

Benfica didn't perform on the day I am reliably informed and Cork were deserving winners.

Will these games be the last ever games in Lansdowne before it's rebuilt?

Ya I saw the game, expected more from Benfica to be honest. Cork created the better chances but to be honest getting to the semi's kinda flattered them as they didn't play as a team. Very much 11 individuals
