    Talking Results

    Quarter final results:
Lifford 3-2 Cork League (aet) (2-2 at full time)
    Galway 3-1 Benfica
Mayo league 3-2 Wilton (aet) (2-2 at full time)

So UCD, Lifford, Galway & Mayo all through.
    When's the semi-final draw?

    More detail on the games

Didn't get to see any of the games, what were they like?
Heard Mayo were on fire... Never looked like losing it.
What about Lifford? Were they as lucky as i've heard?
I heard Raheny were on fire but UCD just edged it with the goals?
What was Galway game like? Only game not to go into extra time...

Yeah, lifford were lucky alright. they were two nil up though. they got the winner at the very end.
Galway were one nil up at half time but benfica missed a lot of chances. i think they hit the post once. galway's third goal was a penalty so that sealed the win.
I heard Mayo's u19 striker had a stormer of a game in that one.
Didnt hear about the dublin game but i'd say there was some good goalkeeping on show with the last years 2 u19 keepers in goals for both sides.

galway usually play at mervue and mayo at milebush park both pitchs suit their style of play and you would expect both teams to win but these cup games are on the day and it wont be easy for any team at semi stage.dont know time yet as days are shorter it could be 12 or 1

heard over the weekend that the womens cup final will not be held in lansdowne road but in one of the teams pitch who are in the final. anyone else hear this ?is womens soccer being moved down again.

Thats a disgrace if they do that! Putting womens soccer on the back foot again!!! Having it played in Lansdowne Rd is such an incentive for any player in the Senior Cup, especially seening as the bulldosers are moving in soon after the finals this year! Whoever is responsible for making this decision would want a kick up the back side... One minute they're trying to promote the game, then something like this happens!!!!

No apparently there are two Rugby matches being played on the pitch one on Saturday and and one on Friday night, the same weekend as the Cup Final so that's the reason for the fixture being moved. It's disappointing and calls into question the whole timing of the tournament.

well done CTID you are on the ball it is disappointing that the women wont be able to play on the pitch it also might stop the womens game being on t.v as was planed live as the one crew was to do the two matchs i think???is noel king coming west for the semi's????
