Heard Wanders are gone alright. If this is true they shouldn’t be allowed enter the league or any league anymore between fielding illegal players and this they’ve been an issue for years now.

League is bit of a farce to be honest apart from coachford it’s Dog ****e go threw teams
Donoughmore struggle with gaa
Village will be village really offer nothing
Knocka could be gone at anytime
Ucc allowed start when they want and their very poor
grattan will be grattan always there or about but will win nothing with coachford about
And castleview struggling for team manager playing on goal
And this is best Aul top league have to offer quite poor in fairness
Lads im back im only saying what i heard but boys our first week back
next week we can have full fixtures but pinting with grattan lads hears their lads out next Friday for the horses so ya man curtain asked peppa after drink down the klÃn left week for free weekend and lord and be hold he sorted um hahah surely Martin need to talk to peppa the helper
Grattan are entitled the same as anyone else to ask for a free weekend surely?
Awful shame City Wanderers are gone, they were a good outfit for the past decade or two.
Regardless of what people think of any alleged shenanigans on wanderers part over the years at the end of the day we’re down another team, there’s 14 teams between the top two divisions, it needs a reshuffle in the summer
No matter that the reason, there's a lot of teams close to folding, or struggling. Why are lads giving up soccer for other sports. Pitches, weather, facilities??
Open to correction here but munster junior league teams dont seem to be folding.
Maybe some teams are just sick of the s**show the aul has become.
Probably will struggle to finish season in all divisions again so will give nil nil draws as results like a few years back.
They obviously can't control the weather but 7/8team divisions,no backup plan (astro pitches) for bad weather means teams go weeks on end without games.
Must be hard to keep interested for teams that are not in contention.
Aul struggling to get 4/5 fixtures going ahead over a weekend but shipping league fulfilling all fixtures every week not a great sign either.
Im hearing of 1 other team in prem A that will prob call it a day at end of season aswell.
You’ll have same problem next season as you did this year teams from Premier A refusing to go up cause they know they be wasting their times against coachford at least staying down the divisions they have some hope of silverware.
And Joe your spot on with Aul having no plan B I was talking to two managers recently that said they haven’t played for nearly two months how can you keep players interested if you have nothing to play for
Lads the demise of the aul is there 10yrs or more. Reduced number of teams every year - 6 or 7 teams in a division is a joke, if you can't have 10 team divisions, reduce the number of divisions! games called off all over the place , its amazing how the poor weather mostly affects aul teams pitches and avoids msl and cbl grounds.Total overhaul in Aul needed quickly or it will fade away, its now by far the worst league in Cork junior soccer (emphasised by no oscar traynor team) behind msl, cbl, wcl and even Cork youths league is far better run.
The reason MJL teams aren’t folding is they are clubs not teams.
They have a steady influx of players coming through to keep the show on the road it’s a simple as that,
It’s numbers that are beating the AUL
teams.
5 years time you will have a much different look in the top divisions in the AUL.
City teams are on a constant scramble for players and some will hit on the right group for year or two but will fall away again.
It’s evident in most city teams and their numbers aren’t big.
There is no hiding anymore with the APP.
Coahford dominance doesn’t help things either
Agreed, sorry I meant AUL specifically
The prospect of summer football is also appealing to some players
Summer Football would help in many ways. The costs for clubs would reduce as all weather pitches would be needed far less often for games and trainings. These don`t impact MSL / MJL teams as much as lots of them already have all waethers or floodlighted training pitches etc. If playing in summer evening games could be utilised for much of the season meaning more gamedays & the shortage of refs would be less significant. Either way Summer Football will always be dividing opinions thats simply mine. Premier AUL is a one horse race these days, most teams don`t expect to win the AOH either and think if we can avoid Coachford we might make a final. Prem A has been a nightmare this season as it was a mixed 6 team league with 2 decent enough sides (Banteer & Springfield), 2 average sides in Hibs & Strand & 2 Strugglers Shandon & Glenthorn.Someone says above that a Prem A team is calling it a day i`ll guess that`s Shandon as i would expect Glenthorn to return to having just 1 team which would be the current Prem A side.In a strange way i reckon the 3 lower divisions have all improved in recent years meaning that gap is closing & some of those can compete higher up potentially with a rejig of leagues incoming.
Will there be many games played this weekend with weather not great for the week
There won't be no training up in northside this week I'm up here in the topser with a few gratten and castleview heads a good banter between us and peppa is on his way soon with tickets
2 cup finals down in Cobh this weekend hope we get 2 good games.
Well lads, the final paragraph of Conlons interview in the echo today says it all. The chairman of the aul hoping that the aul and msl would come together in 1 league! He knows the aul is going down the pan. Can count on one hand the clubs that the msl would entertain- the BS that goes on in aul would not be tolerated there. Take out Coachford and there ain't many left. Training will be done in the pubs across Cork this week. Farcical!!
Couldn’t agree more One touch.
And on training i said it yesterday about them all out drinking Castleview grattan had to cancel training last night over lads in pub ha be surprised if they don’t have to Thursday night and theses teams want to compete with coachford for honours castleview grattan knocka would be better off if they brought back the inter pub league mad for drinks theses boys and don’t forget it’s the Aul have to offer haha
The norries not training this week? i heard that gratten called off there training for the week peppa done them a huge favour by giving them a free weekend and they are supposed to be challenging for leagues and cups etc, I don't think coachford are missing training this week to go to pub to watch horse racing thats the difference in winning mentality and that stems from club culture and proper management unlike the bluffers thats up in norrie land thinking there big clubs and poor management.
Grattan the oldest club in the AUL and a very sucessfull one at that. Have been challenging for premier Titles for years.
Knocka who won all the Aul has to offer and brought great sucess and exposure to the Club and area.
Castleview the most decorated club currently in the Aul and the only Club to actually keep a team in the Aul after Moving to MSL. I think people cant see passed the fact they have more than one team in here and forget the 3 they have in the MSL already??
All the big Clubs in the MSL came from the Aul Ringmahon,Marys,Castleview and so on.
Why knock down Clubs. Why not get involved with one of um and fix the issues been claimed. This is after all JNR football.
It be no walk in the park For Coachford in the MSL.
Northside is flooded with Football Clubs compared to others.
