Jackett's under orders from HQ. Like a lot of clubs these days, Wolves gave out massive contracts to players they now can't afford and, rather than play them and risk triggering big bonuses, they're freezing the players out in the hopes they'll leave. Unfortunately for us, we've had an inordinate number of such players in Doyle, Ward, Foley, Given, Ireland, etc.
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.

Looks like the Rapids are plumping for Doyle over Diego Forlan. Headline somewhat out of sync with the sentiments reflected in the quotes though.
Yup. Robbie: me believe Doyle perfect for Colorado.

Would like to see someone like Cork or Dundalk offer him a deal. Highly unlikely he'd take it over MLS, but how great it'd be for the league.

You never know Nigel, but would Kev's pregnant missus prefer moving to Dundalk (a certified kip) as well as living on (what passes for her) the breadline, over and above the attraction of Colorado, a possibility of sharing some space with the president of the USA, but above all of that, reaping the reward of having Robbie say you are alright, you can be trusted, giving you a priceless reference and that's worth more than an endorsement from the president himself. Kev would be a made man on the basis of Robbie's backing and that's not be sniffed at.

Still set to join Colorado, despite coming off the bench for Wolves in several recent games.
Kev could start this evening according to reports, and will be on Soccer AM tomorrow.
Correction: He's on the bench again

Doyle has signed for the Colorado Rapids

Colorado Rapids have signed the third Designated Player in franchise history by acquiring experienced international striker Kevin Doyle, pending the receipt of his P-1 visa, ITC and medical. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Not sure how to feel about Doyle's career and how it's gone so far but he strikes me as one of the good guys and I wish him happiness and goals out there.
Disappointing.
Thought (think) he has something to offer.
I think he was unlucky not to be signed permanently by QPR and I think he was unlucky at Crystal Palace.
I still think there are plenty of inferior strikers in the Premier League TBH.
Oh well, maybe playing at that level will do his confidence some good. Being the main goalscorer somewhere might be just what he needs to restake a claim for Ireland.
I seriously hope that the wife is content with the move, family first and all that.
