well i think yee all know my take on the aul set up from the last few years, and on a few points 1 .the players not in the league anymore ,some wont be a loss.2 the appointment of an aul man through and through is def the way to go ,players wont be played on reputation and i wish donal the best of luck, and the aul for rectifying their mistakes of the last few years,.its a tough job to do but he is going in there with an open mind on all players.

on the aul team just a thought you can pick all the players that has been named on this thread and about 100 more
but if players dont play with each other on a regular basis its time wasting.could nt the manager pick a squad of thirthy
play games on a weekly basis against premier/premier a teams with the aul picking up the tab for the pitch and ref.he would get to see what players he wants and also teams formations.teams could use it as training and it would help them save a few well needed euros.i think money thats been paid in to the aul via afilliation and fines could at least cover that.

Thats shocking Oldlegs, Ye were down to play B at the same time as the oppositions A team are playing, i wonder if the games were on at different times would it be off?
The AUL premier cup competition and clubs giving walkovers? i think any club with 2 teams should only be allowed enter their A team, after all has a B team ever reached the later stages of it? Alternatively play 1st round between 2nd and 3rd Div sides, bring 1st Div in at round 2 and prem sides at round 3.

Best of luck to Donal and his back room team. All involved in AUL football should now give the manager and whatever squad he decides on their full support. We can all discuss the ifs and buts down the line!

Themessage from Donal is up. Its a manager's duty in my opinion to put players forward from any division. Ask the players first if he wants. Last year - there was a brutal response - single figure responses from 90 managers!. Help the man. Help our league. Outside managers, I know Donal will read and consider a mail from any footballing man.....even if you are putting yourself forward. Anyone on here make sure you manager reads the post on the blog at least. After that you can do no more.

AUL site looks amateurish compared to professional looking MSL site.
Hairy or anyone - how do we get the Junior Cup results on the MSL site? Did you mean you can get a teams results under one tab?

On regards the aul team, in my opinion Darren Lynch has to be first name on the sheet, after all his goals last year and his goal for Ireland, after that its anyone really, AUL lost some very good players in the last 3/4 years to MSL so it is hard to keep up the standard of football but people must understand this is a junior league and nothing more! We cant compete with MSL or Tipperary and Limerick at their level its just not possible, tge best players in AUL get plucked by MSL the best players in MSL or Limerick or Tipp get snapped by LOI or go abroad, its a different level completly, best we can hope for is semi finals, that would be fantastic in my opinion

he just might be but i think park have 6 goals in the mossi at the moment and john corcoran has 7 . and not to forget the lad jeffers .from what im hearing
jeffers is a must the aul will get goals this year.can they defend is key .these 3 to start with calla..lucy..kearney..will be in the mix.if player,s go up or over to those league,s he wants to better himself who wants to stand still football is like climbing a ladder.

Its about more than talent at the top level. Im sure John would too, but an example of the extra mile(or 60) you need to go at the top. Darren and his teammate drove from Mitchelstown every week for AUL training. His teammate was missing one week, Darren could have stayed at home but he drove down by himself. Jeffers too turned up at training on occcassions when it was easier not to go.
