Donald will be in the bed by now dreaming of the win! Arrived up there after half an hour just in time to see Kanturk striker burst through to finish well. Chap next to me said that was the FIFTH goal and the game was so open it could have been 5-5. John Corcoran tucked away a peno just before half time for 3-3. Second half saw a lot of Possession for the Glen but the nearest to a goal was a great header taken off the line by the outstanding Johnny Lynch. Kanturks backline played well ...incl Donaldino at left full. Also outmuscled the Glen in midfield and were dominant in the air. Kanturk scored a good fourth goal and were always dangerous on the break. The glen keeper had a few dodgy moments too.
Johnny Corcoran had a couple of snapshots but was well marshalled otherwise, Barry Donovan never stopped running and Mark Nolan was good but Glen looked a little off colour from what ive seen them previously. Kanturks fifth finished it off and a deserved win on the night.

Blarney Street 4 v 2 Blackstone. An entertaining game but we come away disapointed. Positive is that we took a big step up from 12 months ago when we met the Street. Good crowd out on a lovely night for football. Entertaining game for the masses who included Radio with his 20k wallet and Zico who sends his love!! Street started much better and took the lead about 20 in while I fought with some damn combination lock!! Blackstone were denied an equaliser by a controversial offside call but it seemed to wake us and we dominated to the break and equalised on 40. We didn't want the break and Street were on top after the restart. 2-1 and 3-1 were sloppy from our point of View but the last two goals were magic. 3-2 for about two minutes and 4-2. We move on disapointed but our destiny still in our own hands.

i think as far as premier goes you cant look past park, killumney and id say coachford as well.blarney st have some good players but will they step up to the plate when needed its a tough league and park and killumney have that winning mentalty.

I think the premier a is wide open, mossie linnane comp is not a good guideline of how a team will fair as some groups are obviously stronger than others. Amazing how quiet the forum has gone the last few days after a few teams results have gone poorly! Anyway looking forward to the season and the banter with everyone.

Douglas 2 Carrig 2 good game of ball to watch . Douglas went 1 nil up after 15 mins a quick free kick to strikers feet a neat turn and strike good finish . Douglas well on top and well worth the 1 nil lead at half time . Second half ball over top and Douglas striker won the race and neat finish between keepers legs after 2 mins of restart . Douglas well on top and playing some neat football holding ball well the should have finished game off hit post missed 2 1 on 1's that would have finished game . But Carrig managed to pull goal back on the 82 or so minute . And in Fergie time from a corner made it 2 all good game of ball from both sides but I think Douglas will be kicking themselves that they didn't get all 3 points . I'd happily go watch either of these sides playing again. Douglas will be very hard to beat at home this year
