Lots of luck needed if a guy wins the Oscar Traynor from any league in his first year.
The process of clubs forwarding players is a good one. Who knows their players better than they guy who sees them 3 nights a week? It should be used as well as watching games, if he has the time.
On the Pa O Connor thing, if Pa O Connor had joined someone outside Grattan or Blackstone, would you not think the AUL manager would want to know anyway? I would. Some people may not think its fair on the others who had been around all season, but, I have learned as we have risen through the leagues - football gets less and less fairer as you get near the top.
Bottom line for this week, we dont like everything Trappatoni does but we support Ireland. Lets get behind the AUL team. Pity they put that John Giles Walk meeting on the same night.
Shetland, thats a shock. We may not agree on many things.....in fact the only one I can re-call is the performance of the ref up in yer place last season...but you will be a huge loss for Bally. Your sidekick will be lost. Hopefully its only a re-charge of batteries. Whatever we agree or disagree on, you fight your clubs corner and give many unselfish hours for your club. Not too many of them around the place. Enjoy the gardening! (Yes, Shetland, re-read that papragraph....it is a compliment!!)
Lets hope the Gratts see out the season ok and have time for a re-build during the summer.
