yeh, fair play to them, in the last 64 of fai, must be there first time ever, do town and celtic have home venues now? its surprisin bridge didnt ask to play the game in the complex, did they play their home league game in the complex last year too if im not mistaken, cud of made a few bob on the gate too
If an FAI game is called off due to weather then the home advantage is lost and the away team will be at home in re-fixed fixture.
Gosh, lads this is a great result. Well done St.Nicholas. This is what cup football is all about, a small friendly family club in the open draw of the F.A.I. Junior cup. And if memory serves me right they have won all their games away from home. Does anyone else find in peculiar that Tommy Lewis is listed as Vice President of St Michaels FC on their website and at the same time holds such a prominent and influential position with the TSDL? Surely a major conflict of interest there especially when he is involved in decisions affecting St Michaels. Don't be surprise if St Michaels rescheduled fixture against Celtic is fixed again for Cooke Park.
Correct me if I'm wrong people, but aren't all Club members entitled to also be members of the League Committee....(providing of course that they are nominated and voted in)...... Also isn't it so that the League doesn't have enough members at present. And of those that are there, they're only yes men for Lewis!!

theres only 4 or five on league commitee and they would more than welcome anyone to come along and get involved its easy enough for us all to slate them on here but when you consider the work the men on that comitee have done for south tipperary football over past 25 -30 years they deserve alot of respect in my opinion

I think everyclub should have a representative on the league committee.......... As it stands, only one man has the power within the League..............which is wrong!

you wouldnt get one man on the comitee from every club, alot of the smaller clubs are one or two man shows and they have enough on there own plate keeping there own club going, maybe premier clubs should have a representative alright but then again in my eyes nothing is stopping them at the moment from having a person on the commitee just a matter of approaching someone on the tsdl commitee and asking can you get involved in some way im sure they would be more than welcome, if im not mistaken there are contact details for all commitee members on tsdl website also so that be another way of getting in contact. anyone know how refs course went, did many potential new refs show up i wonder

Taken from TSDL website today. I note that both Ballingarry and Bridge lost home advantage but St Michaels have not. Can anyone explain??

Will probably be ate for saying this, but Cooke Park was playable - Saints wanted game to go ahead but Referee cancelled game because he couldnt travel. He must have coming from Iceland or some place!!!, Also want to say, there was a comment about an 8PM kick off on a Sunday night in Cooke Park against Clonmel Celtic. Saints obliged Celtic in this instance because some of their players were playing a GAA game earlier the same day.
Surely the referee notified lewis well before the game was due to ko as he would of had to be leaving home about 1 1/2 hrs beforehand and another referee could have been found as all other games were off!! The conspiracy theorists are working overtime I bet!!

Just out of curiosity, if the ref couldn't travel who deemed Cooke Park playable?
I'd imagine it's the fact that it wasn't deemed as being unplayable......................

obliged Celtic get a grip man, the original fixture was set at 8 o clock then changed to 7, Celtic complained and was put back to 8 again. Clonmel celtic wanted the game played at half 2 which is the usually the latest time for kick offs come winter time. The time was fixed purely and simply so St michaels would have players available to them. To say that st michaels were obliging Celtic is laughable. everything is done to give st michaels an advantage and its embarrassing that you still try to defend the actions. half of st michaels pitch was frozen yesterday and they sai they were turning on the lights to get that half playable!! If that pitch was playable they would have had no problem whatsoever getting another official to ref the game in fact they would have went out of their way it just made it convenient to go this route to then make sure they kept home advantage.
cant believe saints retain home advantage for refixed game but the reason for this is so strange i actually believe it to be true, you couldnt make something like that up. fixture list for next 2 weeks sees cahir ,peake and galbally without games yet again just shows the early season mid week games are there just to support town and saints get there league fixtures out of the way early so they can go on cup runs. dunno how teams at bottom are gonna keep fellas training and interested if your only prob gonna get 1 game a month abetween now and march/april
