I think you'll find comeonnowtown that Coady got called up to a training camp at the end of the 08/09 season the year St. Peter's beat you in the Semi-Final in Cooke Park. He then left to join Carrick and received his cap but would have been capped even had he stayed at Town. He left Town that year along with a host of players. I consider a call up to be when you are invited to training like Jimmy Carr (St. Mich's) got called up to training this season but didn't receive a cap yet. Your man from Athenry was actually John Mernagh and Mernagh was already on the international team whilst at Athenry but had to relocate to Limerick for work reasons and signed for saints during this time. He then left saints to join Athlone Town in the LOI. (I heard chalkie pushed that deal thru aswell) lol.

You seem to have all the answers except the Alan Barry one becuase that got messy,he didnt keep his mouth shut and exposed what was going on,he came for his cap and left and has been huge success in Limerick but cant get a look in as he upset James Walsh

Ha Ha thats probably the most ridiculous post i have ever read on foot.ie, Ted O Connor has played at a very high level so thats ok but the rest of the players mentioned are ridiculous, Mick Ryan is a midfielder who works very hard but doesnt score goals and Kennedy does reasonably well but the other 2 are completely useless, you see its fine not liking Barry Ryan but you lose all your credibility with silly statements,if you had of left it at you dont think hes good enough for international football a lot would maybe agree but now we think you probably know exactly how could he is but just dont like him,he is easily the top marks man in tipp, goals prove that, only Kennedy comes close in terms of goals scored so please grow up and make sensible arguments,we will all benefit from it

An embarrassing post, not really worth arguing with someone like you,Ted is a class player but the rest are average,i dont think any of them have won TSDL player of the year or played league of Ireland or scored 30 goals year in year out, a disappointing post, lowers the standard of debate on the site,it is ruined since guys like you have come on board

Paul Kennedy has scored over a hundred goals in the last four seasons and also won the tsdl player of the year.

Is that not the point thought i'd agree the players stated above would get into a team above barry ryan. not saying he is not a good player just not better than those with the exception of quinn perry.

    Two-mile Borris v Clonmel Celtic
    Wilderness Rovers v St. Michaels

i dont think anyone could argue with tony scully getting an international call up but for a team who won 6 leagues, 2 cups, 1 munster and have contested 4 munster junior finals, 2 fai semi finals and 2 munster senior semi finals over the past 7 years and only have 1 international call up to show for it is a complete joke, anyone agree with me?

im not goin to slag any of clonmel town's players, barry ryan has been a massive boost since he re-signed 2 last year, he does his very best on the pitch for town, has a bit of heart, we cannot ask for more

bit harsh saying saying republican and newer lads on this forum lowers standard of debate , the more the merrier tsdl forum was boring when there was only a few of us posting here, great having few extra on here if you ask me, and megatots you call it an embarressing post get a grip we all have our views on the game everyone intitled to opinion,
1 barry played loi with kilkenny city it was not premier loi football , it was loi div 1 football with possibly the worst loi team in last 15 years. james mulligan, colin bargary, timmy kiely, ken kiely are all ex loi div 1 players and none have set tsdl on fire so does that make your post ridiculous saying cause barry did it makes him a better player.
2 republican then said he reckoned barry ryan was not as good as 5 quality premier players if you ask any current premier division who would they rather mark pa quinn, mick ryan or barry, 90% would rather mark barry the other 2s pace is electric and are great team players, defenders nightmares barry is markable in my opinion
3 ted o connor is class act , paul kennedy similar type player to barry and equally as good a player, in my opinion best finisher in tsdl. and last player republican mentioned is quinn perry another top player Tsdl div1 player of the year twice, single handedly makes galbally competitive premier team without him they would be div2-3 team.

so i actually find repblicans post good , thats my 2pence worth anyway, and just to prove im neutral in debate look at my previous posts i have defended barry in the past when others have slated him.

with reference to todays results cashel and cahir losing again to lower level oppisition , they really are underperforming this season
if it wasnt for birds and booze id have played for ireland juniors!!!!!

hardly a rule that the bigger club has to have an away tie or is that just the luck of the draw.
should be no shocks here i would imagine.
what was the celtic-villa game like? have villa improved or were celtic not at there best.

It's luck of the draw. The first 3 rounds are drawn at the beginning.

Both Celtic and Villa were poor today. Had it been a league game, a draw would have been a fair result.

Tony deserves to be a regular, Aaron should have got a call up before he went to St. Michaels and Raymie is as good as, if not better than Chalkie.
