goal for Billy Clarke for Blackpool against Stoke to put em 2 up.

"Billy Clarke heads in from a David Vaughan cross. Unbelievable."
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

Ian Harte scored from the penalty spot against Portsmouth in the Carling Cup as Carlisle lost 3-1, and Jon Macken scored for Barnsley as they defeated Burnley 3-2.

    more on Paddy...

"a solo run and chip by Paddy McCourt " (goal)

"McCourt and Robson were impressive in midfield for the visitors"

"McCourt added the third with a superb solo effort, when he picked up the ball on the halfway line and finished his run with a clever chip for the goal of the tie."

    more on McCourt.

And Grant heaped praise on Northern Irishman McCourt, who has struggled to make an impact since arriving from Derry City over a year ago.

"He's a wonderful talent. He can carve chances out for others and himself," said Grant.

"People always question what he hasn't got, but what he has got is a tremendous ability to get by players.

"There's not many people like him. Hopefully, he'll have a big part to play with the talent he has.

"If he doesn't, he should be asking questions of himself.

With McGeady's immediate involvement in the team uncertain, Grant did not rule out a more substantial role for McCourt in the important forthcoming matches against Rapid Vienna and Rangers.

"He could play against anybody. It's what he does sometimes off the ball that he maybe has to add to the game," said Grant.

McCourt scored his first goal for Celtic against Falkirk
"But, when he has the ball at his feet, anything's possible."

Plenty of Irish with goals today: Robbie (4), JO'S, SSL, Clinton, Leon Best was credited with Coventry's equaliser I think. That's what I remember, might have been others too.

Blame RTE2, for some god awful reason they decided to put Team America on at 2 in the morning!

I hadn't seen that about Google sites, work's been kicking my ass lately, I'll check it out and see if it helps.
