Don was about right in posting only the score. Barry Peelo was at the double header in the Faira........and he didnt see two classics!!
Pitch was a but sticky, but both teams were off! We didnt start well at all, and Kanturk deservedly took the lead. A second error by us made it 2 nil. We missed two great chances in a poor half for us. We were much better second half and had more of the game. We finished a lovely move five minutes in, but gave away another soft one. Both teams could have scored more before we made it 3-2. Late on, we had two glorious chances to equalise but to no avail. An off day, we move on.Just remember, every kick makes me stronger and more determined. Indians always come back!Comment

well killer what was said in the first half? i was standing right next to eddie today love to know how we were laughing at the lads when we still hang around with all of them. the laughing and joking was all with geaney who isnt even related to a goal keeper. if anything it says more about the guy that hes still out supporting them. tricksey id love to know what extra gear you thought ye had. if the street had a keeper and a fella who could put the ball in the net ye were in big trouble today. eyes on next week most definitley id say. best of luck next weekend i hope ye do them you know the reasons why.Comment

To be fair, that wouldn't be the style of the ex Blarney Street manager! The split may not have been pleasant but he worked hard while he was there. Some people wouldn't laugh at any stand in goalie but no poison I'm sure.
Have any of the top four met before yesterday? Gonna be very interesting but I think momentum is with Coachford. Love to see our old pal Skilly win a medal. Two guys I coached are with Pierce but first season up will be hard. Park lads have a champions class about them as yesterday showed. Of course, we gained from Kilumney's managerial change but still was not a nice thing to do. Fixtures lottery will play its part as will Oldlegs and 1for. Coachford to win it.
My rants about refs continues........the guy yesterday got stuff wrong - he is human. However, a high percentage right and it's the way you handle the game. Respect for the players and a word in the ear instead of a card on occasion. Sets a tone for the game. Good refJust remember, every kick makes me stronger and more determined. Oldlegs, it was a great game yesterday between ourselves and Innishvilla, we dominated the opening half hour and should have been two up, but were guilty of missing good chances. Innishvilla came more into the game as the tempo slowed a bit, they created a few half chances in the 10 mins before half time, we took the lead after 40 from a free kick. Second half Innishvilla equalised on 50 with a break away goal from a corner we had, Innishvilla were well on top during this period, and got their second goal very contraversially, our centre forward was pushed off the ball, when I say push it was from a defender that hit him so hard he banged his head off ground before he could get his hands out, ref looking straight at it, put his hand out to suggest play on advantage, even though they got the ball, ball was played straight to box where their player was taken down for penalty, 2-1 Innishvilla, we regained composure with 25 to go and got a deserved equaliser with about ten to go, we hit the bar and post in the final quarter too, and we felt like we should have gotten the 3pts, but was still a very good game. Was very disappointed with ref on his decision that led to penalty, and was even more disappointed in how he explained why he left the foul on our player go after the match. But other than that the ref had a good game.Comment
