they were decent you know. played nice football aswell. they put it up to our lads but didn't create much. yer no.6 in the middle of the pitch had a nice left foot and ye had a no.9 aswell that looked a very good player. there is the makings of a good team there.
cheers

all the lads played well and gave everything they could. The pitch was very disappointing, it was gravel more than sand and clay, but i am by no means saying this is why we lost to them.
Westport Midfield attached in waves which worked well till we stopped it for a while. There could have been cases for both sides getting another goal each, but them's the breaks.
Thanks to the 3 Celtic Fans that travelled !!!!!!!!!

mayfield 3-2 celtic
apparently we missed a number of great chances to win the game with mayfield down to 10 men. these things happen though, best of luck to mayfield.

we were awful unlucky, we were the better team and had all the chances the only 3 chances they had they scored and it came from us making schoolboy mistakes, but thats cup football. would have been nice to have won, mayfield got bohs away in the next round...
I have read here before how ye are missing the Leaving Cert players, 3 in all I believe. Is this the case ?

Well done to St Pat's and DerryWash on winning the EA Sports All-Ireland National Soccer finals in Tullamore yesterday. Breaffy were unlucky and finished second in their section. Well done also to the clubs in developing these players. Celtic had 14 lads involved out of the 24 players that took part.

Super league team will have five of the Connacht U-18 team available to them once the exams are over. Or maybe your comment is directed at the schoolboys mistakes made by the senior team in Cork

Great 3-2 win by the seniors last night over an excellent Salthill side, also the U-12 A team had a good 4-1 away win over K&K Utd and the U-12B team defeated Ballina B 5-3. Well done to all.

I was at the game, they lost 3-1.They conceded 2 very sloppy goals and should have at least got a draw out of the game. They played all the football in the second half.If Celtic can cut out the mstakes and start taking there chances they should get up the table.:ball:

So lets bring on The Closing time or has he gone in hiding!!!

Lads stop playing silly beggars, all I am asking is for Closing time to reply.
However since he didn't I would ask him to refrain from bring youth affairs into this site.
I think there is a time and place to deal with any issues he may have with youth football. its definitely not on this site.
There I would leave the matter to rest.:ball:

Well done to the clubs U-14 squad ad managers Padraic Cresham & Michael McDermott for retaining the U-14 Mayo Premier League last night after a 1-1 draw with Westport Utd. They have remained unbeaten in the League. This is the clubs 8th U-14 league title in 9 years. This team play some wonderful one touch football but sometimes lack that killer instinct infront of goals.

U-18 finals as all finals will be difficult as the Connacht Cup winning squad has broken up (A, S/L, U-20 & Mayo Minors) and when winning last week had only 2 playing that started in the Connacht Cup Final
