At this stage Tierney gets my vote, he has done a good job up till now, is committed, has Rovers best interests in mind, knows the club, wont be easily manipulated by the MC, will stand up to MC (hopefully). He's prob less of a risk than getting in another Rob McDonald.

Still no sign of a manager and not likely to being one appointed before the weekend. Heard there was interviews during the week for the job and the money the applicants were looking for was way out of Rovers league. Tierney will be back to his FAI job shortly so it will be mainly Cawley on his own then.

i think leo and dessie are the best candidates for the job at the moment. why bring in another manager who is goin to disrupt the flow and morale that the lads have in the team.

Bravo

I don’t know if this has been posted already, I hear Leo has turned it down and all other candidates who were interviewed have ruled themselves out because of the conditions attached, so we are back to square 1.
It will probable be advertised in the window of Skillfinders this evening!!!

It's obvious any manager or coach worth his salt has a position with a club at this time of the year. (And probably a few who are not). It's worse than square 1, as Leo will not be able to keep up the temporary coaching for much longer.
It looks like the MC have f**ked up big time. Time to eat humble pie and offer Rob a contract. Going by the 3 games we have played, he wasn't doing to bad with the squad.

It seems this job is a poisoned chalice, it appears to suit the merconary type of manager who comes and uses the position as a stepping stone, and does his own thing ie; not being bullied by MC. This situation will not change untill management structure is completly overalled.

ah c'mon  what manager since Keely have we ever had that came into the job with eircom experience. maybe don but sure that was a disaster.
McDonald, Connor, Cassidy, McInally, Reid, Mullen, Cotterill, Sanchez, McStay

A manager with Eircom experience would be good but who's that going to be ? any manager that did any good here was recommended by someone else. if the mc are doing it themselves this time then who knows what'll happen.

Anyone remember the guy that was on Big Ron Manager?
The manager who got all ****ed off when Big Ron came into the club (Peterborough United). He then left and dissapeared off the football radar.
Well lads guess where he might be coming.................

Although i got this from a totaly unreliable source.
Make what of it you wish.

He's managing Bangor in Wales. I wouldn't want him anywhere near my club.
