Won't be able to go out afterwards unfortunately, me ma is moving house on saturday so I'll have to go straight home afterwards. Might go for a pint though, but we all know where one pint ends up...

Fooked up my groin really bad yesterday, but unlike a certain other Corkman, I will be playing for the boys in green...

The first Foot.ie Challenge Cup will be held in Leisureworld, Bishopstown on Saturday 22nd of February,

Is that the CIT sports centre?

Is everyone gonna meet outside at say 6pm or something?

Yup, just across the road from it.
Good idea for everyone to meet up beforehand.
I know I've said this already, but, just who is giving me a loan of a green City jersey seeing as I'm NOT the proud owner of one?? Éanna? Colm? Anyone?

Yes we're going to the Gateway after, provided nobodys got any objections.

As for the forfeit, I'll leave someone else think that up.

btw, I'll bring my green and my red jersey aswell and we can sort it between us.

A Ruairí you'll have to come for one pint at least.

I've fallen victim to another horriable tackle in the Law Cup, (it is the most pain competition Ive ever played in and Im the goalie, playing outfield is just death) we're going to be the walking wounded in this game.

"We're not able to walk but we're beating ye" will have to be our team chant.
How will we get from CIT to the Gateway? Minibus hackney?

pete

Errrr wheres the Gateway?

Damn western burbs.

Gateway is on Barrack street Pete.

Ill need a red jersey as well.

And John, I spose we will organise a minibus for 8 bells to bring us to destination plus a cab if the needs be.

When you get to the roundabout on Melbourne Rd turn in towards CIT but don't turn again.

keep going straight down towards the lights at the bottom of the hill.

The lights in the pitch in CIT will probably be still on - it's not there.

Theres four pitches behind the swimming pool.

One of those is the venue for the Foot.ie Challenge Cup.

I'll be there for 6:15pm. I'm reffin' in CIT from 2 til 6.

Tis booked in my name. Ye can't start without me!

6:30 kick off.

late breaking team news
in a last minute emergance .. mods playmaker james has announced that due to extreme last min emergancy he might not be able to make the game

the mods player manager pete was quoted as saying
"well obviously at the end of the day to possibly lose such a player isnt the best preparation for such an important game but we are currently scouring the message board for a suitable replacement shuold james withdraw from the starting lineup"

rumors of a rift in the mods camp have been dispelled for now, but the remaining players from the moderaters team have refused to comment on the goings on.

stay tuned from more sports fans

ps james categorically denies that he is going out on the **** tonight and that he will be too hungover tomoro to run around.. and anyone that further spreads or adds to this dowright proposterous and outlandish allegation.. is wrong

Eventual??? You make it sound like we're going to find it difficult! I predict we will storm into an early lead which will continue to rapidly increase over the course of the game. Final score: Red Mods 10-3 Green Non Mods.
Pure confident me. :)

Well after al the slagging, the result is here. 25-20 to the non-mods.

Non-mods ran into an early 6-3 lead after 10mns and never lost control of the game. The lead was extended to 8goals at one stage before finishing at 5.

Goal of the game : Ruairí's screaming volley on the stroke of half time.
