Robbie kelleher is gone on trial with reading

he hasn't gone just yet.. their sending him over in early December. Pat Dolan arranged it- just like he did for Kevin Doyle.

What chances would you give him at making it? he's not at the age where you'd want to be going over there at,for he's sake i hope reading had no nightclubs

francesco 1.... Give young kelleiher a break.. havs tons of ability, pace and is very direct. has as good a chance as anybody from lim of making a go of it..Seen him play on 4 occasions with lims this year...best of the lot.. good luck to the chap...

i have to agree with toldo- although we see him as being young- they(reading) certainly dont..these days you need to be in the 13-18 category to have a real chance,,, kevin doyle had the advantage of playing with one of the best LOI teams around at the time and was also on the TV cameras as well....i wish robbie the best as well but id be very surprised if he made it.

ian wright signed his first professional forms at 22, roy keane 19 to name two players. Not saying he's up to their quality but if he gets the breaks then best of luck to him at making a go of it in the lower leagues. He has the potential. The standard over isn't what it used to be. Just look at how bad some of our international players are, some of them can't even control the ball and most of them are premiership players!

I agree Widow, I hope he does make it coz he has come a long way from playing with Summerville 4/5 years ago, then to the View, then Limerick and now on trial, so best of luck to him.

What's the story at the Celtic. Heard there was no training last Thursday just a meeting about the club and whether it would go on.

Also, 2 players that Tommy brought with him from last year have asked for a transfer back to their previous club. Noonan is gone to Carew and Skinner has itchy feet. If they go, will they have a team

Dathi noonan decided to stay, sure he cant play in fai or mjc so that only leaves the league and gorden stewart is part of the furniture in carew park he wont be dropped just rested the odd time so it's not worth his while going to them unless he wants a medal for sitting on his cake, skinner has no interest this year his strugling big time,we had a meeting,my opinion is there leaving the players leave to easy which is stupid,as for the running of the club its a joke thats why the players are unhappy

Can't understand why Star are not playing their 4th Round game against ST.Pats in the FAI????

its probably a simple reason that either the FAI or the LDMC want ye're match with Pats to be on the same day as the Pike vs Balla<probably> 4th round tie.
ps: all this fuss about a lone outstanding fixture goes all the way back to our friend in Moyross drinking a can of cider at 10.30am at the Summerville match.

pike 1-0 boro, pa moloney scored....fine win for pike puts them well clear at the top now. Boro had 2 players sent off in the second half. Pike dominated the game and hit the bar on two occasions

Was at the game, Pike scored early on and did hit the crossbar but the Boro were robbed at the very end for a definite penalty but once again the referee (Pikes 12th man) bottled it just like he did for the majority of other decisions. As for dominating the game?!?!....Boro had Pike on the rack for the last 15 minutes with only 9 players. Call a spade a spade mate.

Dirk Diggler
28/11/2005, 9:28 AM
15 minutes?!?! don't know what game you were watching mate, they had a 5 minute spell near the end and had a claim for a penalty which would have been harsh as the pike defender clearly took the ball then man. Alan O'keefe said it himself after the match that it wasn't a penalty. Boro never threatened the pike goal, kevin fitz didn't have a save to make all game. Roll on the hoops... 5 points clear
