Davy Wall's transfer finally went through early on Saturday morning back to his home club Newtown F.C. this was over a week with the view refusing to release him,for a finish i have been informed that Munster were involved.surely this is no way to treat people?? I can understand the view not wanting to lose him but all the red tape they put up i would be suprised to see any more from Shannon rushing in to join the view........

The only reason they did not sign it is that he refused to go to the committee meeting which i think is required in most clubs.

why should a player have to attend a committe meeting if he wants a transfer.. would he not just tell manager
he wants to leave and maybee give reason & club should release him

Whats Davy's status regarding Munster Junior and Fai? Is he cup tied for both?

With Newtown still in both it would be a shame if he was.

Most clubs in town the player has to attend a committee meeting. If that was the reason why the transfer was held up then thats fair enough.

munster council were contacted on this matter and they informed fairview to let player go.......now,,,1 week and 3 days went by with fairview refusing to sign transfer form and then when they are told by munster they sign straight away....so there are questions to be asked about fairview on this one....

Have Newtown made there feelings on this matter known to the Munster Council.

Fairview should get wrap on the knuckles for keeping a lad out of football so petty of them.

The least Dave Wall could have done was to turn up for the meeting , if thats the norm, as as widow stated most clubs have that rule.
Dave got a lot out of Fairview ( Fai medal & Irish cap) and I not saying he didn't contribute or deserve to getting those.
But as a matter of respect he should abide by the club rules, I'm sure that he was getting travel allowance to come in and out of Shannon for the last couple of years and another 28 miles wouldn't of killed him.
Fair play to Fairview..........Bet he'd still be there if they were still in the FAI ,

Davy Wall was informed that he did not have to turn up for a meeting, the request from Fairview was that a Newtown official attended, a Newtown official who works in Limerick attended the meeting and was informed that only Davy Wall's presence would do and the form would not be signed. This begs the question do the Fairview officials talk to each other , examples of points being lost because of administration errors would suggest not. As for travel expenses that is between Davy and Fairview and as for his FAI and Irish cap this was a symbiotic relationship where both club and player have gained. Davy Walls talent would have got him that cap wherever he was playing. As for the respect aspect I think Fairview should look at how they treat, at a minimum the player that has represented them , but at least the club they are dealing with in these matters. Sadly they seem to have failed on both counts here.

No doubt davey is a class act but i doubt he would have got capped if it was not for playing in the latter stages of the FAi with FairviewIf Fairview were still in the FAi i reckon Davey would still be with em.

Davey Wall is an excellent player and if he wants to go back to his roots then the best of luck to him.Ask a few of the fairview players about the speech he made the Thursday night before the Fai saying that if the boro beat them they should all stck together and not let it go down the pan like the season before and that there was more trophys there for the taking - yet the following Tuesday he wants to leave - Make sense to you???

Whether Davy said this or not is irrelevant, he chose to leave for his own reasons. The relevant point is the way Fairview treated the whole matter of his transfer.

i think everyone has heard enough about fairview rangers in the last few months, just give it a break.afterall i dont think anyone would not deny that davy is a class act and any club would try and persuade him to stay as they have lost enough players in the recent past.Would anyone agree

Not sure who he is, someone asked me to post that, they also asked me to tell Tom that "there is a clearance sale in Lidl this weekend, loads of really bright white runners and figure hugging jeans" what that means is anyones guess?
