I watched the majority of it to be honest like I said. Plus it was a division 1 game, reading majority of his posts are around Premier and Premier A so he may not be in the detail of the lower leagues. To your point, I'm not going to answer the question he asked anyways but more than happy to offer my opinion on other teams if I see a game or play against them.
The anser to that is ther a fine side good lads and well organised team fab game real cup tie both sides a credit .

City Wanderers are a fabulous footballing side who try to play the game in the correct manner.
I would say from the outside that the club is very well run & they are a pleasant enough bunch.
One of the success stories of the AUL in recent years in my opinion & all involved should be proud.
The Glen may well win the league as they have a few players of real quality and are on a roll
but they will be pressed by a good team in City Wanderers for sure.

The right way is the winning way i suppose that`s one train of thought cos winning an AUL medal is all that`s important in life & sport really :)
They show a great attitude, keep playing football until the final whistle mostly on the floor but won`t be bullied either, don`t have any major disciplinary issues,
would shake your hand after the final whistle and have a friendly chat afterwards. they have a very handy sponsor in sober lane and seem to enjoy the social side of being part of a club also. All in all a club i`ve never heard a bad word about & would also be happy to watch on a day off. (no affiliation by the way)

Thanks for the kind words, I'll be sure to pass on the message. The sponsor from Sober Lane was last year as far as I know as they are not affiliated with us this year. So still waiting for the social aspect to kick in.
Nah, on a serious note, Bulldog is correct. It's nice to try and play football and all that but everyone wants to win. I think League 1 is very competitive this year and there are some good teams with a lot of teams taking points off each other. Also very tough to win with only 1 up automatically. There is a lot of football to be played and if Saturday is anything to go by, then a long season of competitive / enjoyable football is in store for people.
MJC Sunday first of all against another premier team so hopefully another good game.

No More flip the coin sundays what a disaster haha
ye have done well on the trophy and promotion front also in recent years so its not only nice football.
I`ve watched a bit of most leagues by now but League 1 is a 2 horse race in my opinion. with the glen being firmish favourite at this point.

In your opinion winning is everything ? that`s your opinion which is fair enough.
Sometimes someone else`s opinion can be seen as trolling or just bad mouthing. not everyone will have the same opinions i guess.

Glen had no control over the division they were put into "press" All they can do is try and get up to premier A and compete for the only "important" trophies. It's every management job to get together the best squad they can so don't knock the Glen for doing so.

I`ve watched them play twice this season so far which is probably 1 more than you. i didn`t know they parted ways with sober lane is all. i personally hope they stuff the Glen(who are insufferable pr*cks) in all 3 games this season and win the league. Thanks for your advice regarding honours etc your input is greatly appreciated.
Now now temper temper city wanders can confirm I watch 4 times in all this season so your out ther as well wen your come out of 2017 you might relax

what im saying is in the greater outlook of things those medals mean absolutely noting even to lads who have stayed in lower league to play with there buddies, you know it and i know that we want the big medals !! fair enough its great winning a trophy in the lower leagues and you,ll have a few sessions afterwards but 5 months down the road you wont even talk about last season and thats the simple fact !! good players that dont have higher standards of themselves are all over the aul and thats why the organisation is finished !! its really a Sunday pub league now

Ridiculous points made really, particularly with your "standards of themselves" remark.
There are clubs in the 2nd and 3rd Divisions with far higher standards of set ups and commitments that are far more enjoyable on not only a social level but football side of things than clubs above from 1st to Premier.
Many clubs have gone from the lower divisions and right to the top and each league medal along the way is respected.
It's junior football, many senior league players at a higher level possibly don't rate the trophies in AUL as a whole, it's all about perspective.

cork aul and bohs the laughing stock of football over the weekend !!
Not going to Bohs bash here . They work hard to do the best with what they have . I think they were right to try and play the game on their own pitch . The surface is never great , it never was , it never will be . The fella who lined the pitch though may need a trip to specsavers ;)

The big guns shouldnt be in it? Crumlins junior team are just that .......... a JUNIOR team . Crumlin have a senior team in the FAI intermediate cup so why should their junior team not enter the FAI Junior Cup ? So Rockmounts junior team shouldnt enter the FAI junior cup either according to your statement? Or do you mean the pretend junior teams like the ones in Tipperary and Limerick who dont have a senior league?

Took in the knocka v glen game today , an absolute pleasure to watch both teams battled hard with the glen taking the 3-2 win , ref was spot on apart from a bit too much time after injury time was up , best game I’ve seen in a while , congratulations to the glen with being down 4 players due to injury to take a win up there with 3/4 of a team , fair play to both teams excellent display

And can someone travel with you on that pass ;) fairplay to the Glen , great result away from home . Dont think Knocka are all they are cracked up to be to be honest . They were ahead twice and couldnt close out the game. Thought the Glen totally deserved their win . From what i heard on the line they were missing 4 starters so the squad was stretched

I don’t just attend glen matches jake ... but when knocka and the glen are playing each other of course it’s gonna be a interesting match up .. the glen deserved the win but to say knocka ain’t all there cracked up to be is a bit hasty ... they played some great football and have some great players as do the glen .. both sides can have no shame in loosing to each other with the quality of player that’s was on the pitch last Saturday ..
I don’t see any games at the weekend going ahead at the moment bar the games on Astro
Ok iceman whatever you say . You dont just get to Glen games , you just mainly get to Glen games and that is fine ;) Your secret is safe with me. I think Knocka are overated . That is just what i think . For me the Glen are a better side than Knocka only that the AUL decided to put the Glen in the first division

Knocka B definitely gone I'm not certain about leeview B but I think there gone as well hard to keep one team going never mind running two
The number's of teams in the Aul have been falling year in year out and unless something dramatic is done we could be down to under 30 teams in no time

Its very hard realisticly for 2 teams you need at least 36 players to keep 2 teams going properly.
But when a team pulls out it kills sections especially when there is no threat of relegation
Play it out

Did anyone go to the FAI cluster to discuss summer football in November? Someone told me the aim is a short season next season and summer football in 2020, is this true?

2 teams very hard work but less teams more quality
Most b teams are loaded with guys who just want a game thats no bad thing either ..the perfect thing is an 16s to 18s then 1 team can benefit..but somtimes if a guy gets dropped instead of working hard he run to the b team just my opinion .

My understanding is the aul wont move until the season after the school boys have gone to summer football.
This must be done by 2020 so at least 2 seasons away.
Thats my understanding anyway.
